One by one they are all banned, those who have had a different view point different from the Democrats. If I remember right, it first started with Trapper, and so on. Pretty soon there be no opposing views. I saw something similar happen on the Kathleen Keating website many years ago. She had some person as the overseer of the site who would delete posts or even ban the poster if didn't fit the narrative, it basically destroyed the site, a box of echoes bouncing off the walls drifting into space ( Jim Berkland's old board with the fee and sign in), and why I believe you started this site, which I'm thankful you did. I only wish that many of those banned would have had more control of themselves , seems they had too much time on their hands. I personally would have shut down the nation board sometime ago because of the intensity that is happening in this country, and because you didn't posters are being banned. It's your website, you do as you please, just like Jim Berkland and Kathleen Keating. |

It's not Bopp's fault people can't argue and debate without becoming belligerent. What's almost worse are the people, right & left leaning who make claims, are confronted and proven wrong with factual information, but can't admit they made a mistake and posted something erroneous. One poster in particular does that regularly. Just my pet peeve. It is what it is. lol |

It is common for people to go a bit overboard on topics such as politics or religion. Still a forum Admin who is fair but firm can keep things calm without removing all of one side of the discussion. That happens on forums all over the internet daily. When the forum moderator makes no attempt at fairness you end up with these singular point of view forums. Ya know Jim, I think your thesis is lacking. I'll use a few of the current outcasts as an example.. Hog and Karen spent all day everyday dominating National's discussions with an ideology that is pretty much whatever the troll farms dish up as the daily talking points. They seemed incapable of discerning truth from fantasy and as such it was obvious they were puppets that spewed whatever the far right fringe was harping on at the moment. If only their points (opinions if you will) were founded in the truth I'd have to say you are right, they were ditched because their opinions weren't in line with Mr Bopp's. But that's not the case. They were ditched because they were spreading lies. All day everyday, lies. Face it, at this point to unquestionably support Trump is to suspend any expectation of the truth. So we have a real problem. Bopp Man is right, lies, and vicious harmful lies at that, don't belong here, or anywhere. Or do they Jim? I think National could be a great place to discuss differing opinions, but as long as the entire discussion goes round and round chasing, fact checking, lies, it's a bit much to expect. And besides, what do the Republicans stand for? What's to have an opinion about? Whether we continue to pay homage to the assholes that fought for the right to enslave people? Whether we agree that the presidency has absolute unchecked power to do whatever the fuck it wants? This is an illusion created by the Republicans, when they acquiesced to Trump, and Putin behind him, to overthrow the constitution. This is hate rising up to overthrow love. Pure and simple. This is evil making it's play to destroy the good in people. This is as gross as it gets. And yes the Bopp Man has every right, and a little responsibility methinks, to steer the ship so as to keep it from being overwhelmed in these troubled times. That's my opinion. And hey, I am glad that he, finally, expects some semblance of the truth. Aren't you? |

Hi John, The problem with political people is they think small... as if everything is about the hot topic of the day, at the moment Trump. But I was talking about a long term pattern by Herr Bopp and of all those over the years who have been banned or driven away from here. A pattern of behavior that has always allowed those who share his views get away with anything while he trolls and harasses others. | they have all been banned (and there aren't that many) for the same reasons i enumerated...the fact that in general we disagree politically, is, as you say, coinky-dink...i actually agreed with trapper on many things, but he went off the rails with his anger and negativity and in the end, i chose not to support his energy anymore...until this recent group, i can only think of trapper and griz that i banned permanently previously, although there may be some others i forget but basically a handful in almost 20 years...not that oppressive...i have given timeouts to some but let them back after some time...it is a pain in the ass and it takes time to ban someone....you still see grz trying to post regularly because he has figured out how use tor and proxy servers so i can't ban his ip...i will say the level of poorly sourced and presented information has increased dramatically since lardass was elected...i'm tired of it, and tired of letting folks get away with it... |

Jim, their eyes are just as open as our eyes, they just have different colored lenses and see that particular view point. For myself, I prefer clear lenses so I don't have any discrepancies. As you can see with your eyes, the national board has now become one sided. Redheart will be there for any clean up if anyone dares posting on national with a different narrative than the majority, pretty disgusting, but they won't see it that way with their colored lenses. I miss Trapper, and going to miss Nevada and the others. |
