So it appears I am on the shit list today and yesterday .. I simply
responded to dans post because he was directly posting me
regarding a post I made yesterday and you remove it. Is it my
snarky attitude that is getting to you or what .....
You NEVER remove posts when dan and others go off on our
posts. NEVER ...... why now ....

hi Lily, I found the very long thread on National about the homeless very interesting and informative. I skipped the long part about Nazi insinuations.
One of the big reasons the Lord might have wanted me to go through the school of hard knocks was to help me to understand human relationships from both sides. In a world of overpopulation, the trauma of both the haves and have-nots is much more severe now than just 30 years ago.
In the Portland area, I’ve tried to stay away from the central cities to avoid not just the homeless situation, but also the difficulties of central city life. Even though I’m a minortiy, there’s a big advantage to living among whites in the suburbs. Less crime, among other things.
I could have easily been homeless with a lot of homeless type problems, but many fortuitous events kept me going, mainly my mother allowed me to stay at her house in Oakland in the 1970’s and I was able to get a long term computer programming job (low wages) in Portland. Also, the Lord keeping me from a moral abyss has been very important. The Christian factor might be the main reason for moral stability in the US.
I kind of understand the encroachment of the homeless. I’m amazed that things have not gotten much worse before now. Much good has come from genuinely caring people like Sue of Seattle. If an economic crisis happens, trying to help the homeless might become much harder. It might really test the faith of good people.

Sorry for the double post. I got error messages so assumed they
didnt post. I just hate the double standard is all ..... I take posts
that say I am a nazti very personal. I am just about done being
civil .... I guess I am too sensitive ..
