Have you ever considered using this energy where it's
important?
One forum might be important for a few individuals,
but you're wasting your time if you actually care
about your issues and want to make changes in the
world.
Instead you undermine your own cause and piddle away
your time here with people who filter you out at this
point.
Also, you might want to alter your approach....even
the crazies like me are writing you off as obsessive
and crazy at this point.
Maybe it's a conspiracy....as long as you keep
posting here (where most ignore you except when
they're either annoyed or weirded out) you don't have
the time to invest in making real change elsewhere.
At this point I'm pretty sure you've completely
alienated even the people who would otherwise support
you in your cause....people tend to disassociate
themselves from those who just engage in bizarre
behaviors thinking it'll impose their peculiar sense
of "justice."
Have at it though if you like, obsessing like this on
a limited forum where people have mostly stopped
listening keeps you neutralized.
Easy enough to filter through the static of your
posts to the ones that actually mean something.
And from here on out, I'll leave you alone by
ignoring you.

except for the National board which has become a kind of
LIAHO board in recent years, and also where one poster
has cluttered a few boards with multiple single-line
titles, the rest of EB still seems to have relatively
good posts. And there might still be good posts on
National once in a while.

No worries, I'm not complaining about the boards.
Just commenting on the fact that this is small fry in
the greater scheme of things so I'm not sure why this
fellow is obsessing with this forum.
And on the fact that this method of obsessive one
liners is counterproductive if he ever wants to
change anything anywhere.
I get as crabby, obsessed, and over-involved and
can't detach myself emotionally during my bad times,
but watching his posts actually makes me feel
positively normal even when I'm at my worst.
I just hope whatever's going on, he manages to step
back, get some perspective, and get back in control
of his life. Never sure whether to be annoyed or
worried when people appear to be having a nervous
breakdown. When my uncle started doing things like
this in his face to face encounters....it was because
he'd had a minor stroke.
With a cousin, she'd gone off her medication (which
admittedly hadn't been working well to start with)
and went through a stage rather like this before
attacking the wash machine with a sledgehammer.
But in the online world, I know this isn't THAT
uncommon, and a lot of times it's just trolling.
But sometimes those who appear to be trolls really do
care about the issues, they just don't know how to
interact in a meaningful way. On my bad days, while
this isn't my style, I too often lose that distancing
myself and am my own worst enemy on the issues I care
deeply about.
While I disagree with this guy on most of what he
talks about, I do have some sympathy if it's anything
beyond bored trolling. Deep emotional involvement and
the inability to distance one's self and see the harm
one does to one's own cause is an incredibly painful
place to be.

Very true, and I don't mean it in a bad or
denigrating way. You have a selective crew, and most
of us already have strongly formed opinions.
A posting tirade doesn't really do anything to change
people other than annoying even that individual's
allies. He'd probably do better on Twitter or
something with the technique he's using.
The strategy has to fit the staging grounds.
And yeah, I know that's ironic coming from me. Having
an imperfect abstract understanding doesn't translate
to being able to apply that to one's own faulty
communication methods. :-)
