I think the true purpose of the national board is to post an opinion or news topic and engage the topic in a pro/con ,agree/ disagree style debate and discussion in an intelligent and mutally respectfull manner..That flavor seems to been discarded for more of an assault and attack scenario...Its perfectly acceptable to call out fake news, unproven CT theories and radical convictions without valid proof from both sides, but it can be done in a respectable manner with sensible counter point...The left and right both have valid arguments and opinions and the perfect solution would be found in a resonable blending of those two sides which requires mutual compromise and acceptance, but instead the direction seems to move towards a stronger division and bias, something that is already tearing the U.S. apart....Fully understandable that people are frustated and passionately heated but at the same time not everone who approves of the course Trump is taking is a nazi ,rasist, pro Putin, anti U.S. maniac and not everyone who disapproves is a radical leftist antifa supporter with TDS and an agenda to remove borders and throw the country away to illegal aliens...There is always 3 sides to the story....Compartmentalising and grouping people into an "all the same attitude"is unrealistic..It pushes people to take a more radical stand...You all seem to be good hearted, intelligent and passionate people and thats a great thing ,I dont think anyone here would turn away from a child in trouble or someone in need of help or encouragement and at the core of things Im sure you all mutually want peace , stability and a good life..I think you are all truly above the mudslinging and personal assualts, but if someone starts a fire and everyone pours fuel on ,its only going to rage out of control...Of course its difficult to stand down from a personal attack, the initial response is to fight fire with fire but if everyone decides to take a cooler approach and pour water on that fire it will go out.Good to be passionate and stand up for what one believes but tearing down others doesnt build unity ,it only causes isolation...Everyone has a voice and opinion and more than likely they just want it to be respectfully acknowledged and many will be open to correction as a result, but demoralizing and insulting degrading personal attacks shut that process down, hurt feelings and leave people jaded towards one another....Irregardless of the actions of others, display what is good honorable and respectful within oneself and extend that to others without compromise to the lesser in ourselves and although the path one is on may be bordered by thorns ,it will be paved with peace and solitude within ones heart and others will want to join the walk...Just my thoughts...

I don't believe it's possible what he said in this world that is why I did not say it. I mean since you are speaking for us all I just thought to clarify that I am not one of the "rest of us".

I agree Eve, probably not possible on a grand scale but meant more on personal reflection on how we treat others and placing them on an equal level of value...And not meant to police or acuse anyone or everone either...I dont think Nevada meant all encompassing or that he was speaking for everyone in his statement, just a "in general " type of veiw point from him..I find that sometimes the intentions in conversation become misrepresented because there is limited personal expression or tone of voice in written general conversation..

That word you quote has deeper layers and means what is does to you but you don't speak for everybody though you propose to... Stay where you are then to me it's like running in place and never getting anywhere.

Hi Eve..Yes I do know where I am and where Ive been...Somalia was a jungle,Bosnia was a jungle and Afghanistan was and still is..Compared to,this is just a board with alot of frustrated and deeply concerned people and very rightfully so,or maybe its just that some find enjoyment in conflict and aggression..Maybe my cup has been overfilled with conflict, hostility and assault and would like to see the better side of humanity stand proud...or maybe it a failing effort, but I still feel its worth trying..
