The toxicity of certain individuals on National is spilling over into other boards and isn't being checked. No decent dialogue possible. Very sad state of affairs.
Will check back one of these days to see how things are going.

Marja, why so accusatory just because people
announce they're taking a break?
Anyone who is a responsible human being lets people
know if they might be away for a while, and they
provide an explanation why.
That is what it is to be a good, decent human being.
I leave after drama too, and I point out what that
drama was. Yup, sometimes I cause the drama and I
need to step away to calm down.
But I'm not going to randomly disappear.
Look at people who have randomly disappeared, like
Petra. We're worried about her because we don't
know if she's alive or dead, as she left without (to
my knowledge) an announcement.
I'm worried about her too.
It isn't a stunt, it's being a decent human being.

Stunt? No stunt. And no, not 'numerous times', less than three. Notice no postings of mine on the National board. Pointless. It is seldom that much else happens on that board lately.
I'll be around, just not around nonsense that often becomes toxic to varying degrees. Nor will I be paying attention to nothings.

Things are not surprisingly the same. Same. Same.
Rather than abandon the plight of the Palestinians, I will continue posting at International. Should there be material deemed important to share, also at Environment and Health.
Hopefully the National sludge won't slop over there too much.

...probably time to move beyond the increasingly narrow
world view of Earth Boppin and move back out a tad
further into the unknown universe.
There's nothing "liberal" of any note here at the
moment. I'll keep my telescope pointed in your
direction just in case there's a turn for the rational.
I'll keep the lights on at the Nevada Zen Garden and
the American Flag waving at full mast.
I love all of you, just don't care much for the narrow
attitude of much of the dialogue.
