Subject: Emailing an Adobe Acrobat PDF File

I had an MRI performed several weeks ago.

I accessed the results online and they are posted in
a file that says Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF.

I have tried everything to attach them to an email
message I want to send to another doctor.

I managed to save them to my desktop and when I
double tap it, the file opens just fine.

But when I try to attach them to the email message
(using yahoo mail) I can't copy the shortcut. If I
drag and drop, then I get an outlined box that
says.....'drag here'. Basically it says X marks
the spot.

I can't drag and drop it behind a couple of other
jpegs like I want to do. When I did drag it to the
box, it created a box in red with an exclamation
point.

When I tried to double tap it to open the file, I
get an exclamation point that won't allow the file
to open. My only option is to delete it.

So, I returned to the site that stores my medical
results, went to FILE and tried to send the file to
my email account using the option listed.

It said an unknown error occurred.

I tried to convert it to another file but Adobe
wants a subscription fee.

I know know if I am doing something wrong or if the
original site is using a restricted file so that it
cannot be sent anywhere and everywhere. Maybe they
do that to protect our privacy.

I managed to copy and paste the main points but I
wanted to send the original file, because I think
the doctor would prefer to see the original source.

I have a numbness in my left foot and my left leg is
sore at the hip. It's been this way for six months.

I have had 2 physicals, 1 MRI, 1 XRAY, 10 visits to
a Physical Therapist and 3 visits to a chiropractor.

My Physical Therapist said it was because my hip is
not 100%. She said it has always been that way, it
is just that it was catching up to me because I am
57 and not 27.

She gave me numerous exercises to practice but she
said they would not provide lasting relief because
the issue was structural not skeletal.

The only thing that might correct it is an operation
but the risk vs the reward is too great and she did
not recommend it.

I don't want an operation anyhow. My foot hurts when
I wake up in the mornings until I move for several
minutes and the circulation increases. When I walk
my gait is slightly off as well. It's uncomfortable
and slightly painful but nothing that keeps me from
accomplishing anything, except long walks and
running.

My Primary Care Provider recommended a Neurologist
and I have an appointment next Tuesday. I wanted to
send him an email explaining what I have
accomplished, so he can come to the best conclusion.

He may tell me that there is nothing that can be
done but at least I will have exhausted all my
resources.

Anyhow, this is where I am at.

Thanks

Read your post again, so you do have the file on your computer. On your desk top. So just go to your yahoo mail and try it the way I suggested. It should work.

When I go to my yahoo mail, and begin a new e-mail, I see choices at bottom for attach a file. Its shaped like a paper clip. When I hit that, it opens my computer file so I can choose what file I want to send. Do you have or see that function on your yahoo e-mail?

GRRRRR..!@#$%^!!!!!

After all the trouble I went to, typing a nicely
worded, professional email to a doctor I have never
met; I called him this morning to get his email
address.

It was not listed on any email message I could find
and I could not find his website.

I called his office this morning and the
receptionist said they don't have an email address.

Only a fax machine.

Maybe they do that for patient privacy to prevent
hacking?

He must be one of the few in the country without
one. He is only 45 years old or so. It's not like
he is 90 and does not want to adapt.

I guess I'll fax it.

Yes, I have the paperclip attachment as well.

I have already attached 4 other pages but the last
attachment, which is several pages; won't load.

But it just occurred to me that there might be a
maximum KB size that we can send. Although I have not
received that message.

I might have to send what I have already written and
go with what I have. He has all the pertinent points.

Thanks
