Is there something I can use that will extend the
range of my laptop's wifi?

Sometimes I travel and stay in hotels. Sometimes the
wifi is spotty and I don't like using my data plan.

I have seen adapters to plug into my laptop to
extend the range but you have to adapt it to the
router and that won't happen in a hotel.

Is there something else I can use to extend the
range?

I found this from CC Crane.

http://www.ccrane.com/Super-USB-WiFi-Antenna-3-High-
Power-Long-Range-80211-B-G-N-Wireless-1

But I would like to find one that is wireless or not
so bulky.

Any suggestions?

The only requirement is that is should be small and
portable . And lacking the necessity to link it to
a router. I just want to plug and receive.

I looked on amazon and did not see what I was
looking for.

FYI: we purchased a regular wifi booster from Costco. It didn't work
or do what we needed at all.

I don’t know anything about laptop wifi connections, but
this small lightweight laptop-wifi-antenna might work.

I just ordered the wifi antennae John recommended.

I am suppose to get it Tuesday. You gotta love Amazon
Prime with free shipping.

Thanks for your comments.
