My understanding is the rule is no false names, just use your one regular name or tell us your intention you will be using another name as you have done which seems fine because we know who you are. We have a "q", a "c" and other odd names. The problem is that q and c use their anonymity to post personal attacks and put downs. If the rule has changed my apologies for making an issue of this. |

Jim, there is no published rule prohibiting "false names." The rules are: "Pick one name/handle and stick to it." "Using multiple names may lead to banishment." "Using someone else's name to post will result in an automatic permanent banishment." For a complete list of rules: http://earthboppin.net/talkshop/faqs.html#rules I see no mention of a minimum name/handle length. Are you talking about some secret unwritten rule? "JimW" is a false name. So is "Mr. Bopp." and these are every bit as anonymous as "C" and "Q." There are very few "real" names used on this site. Even the names that look "real" are probably not. Who cares? It is none of your business. If people are posting under multiple handles from the same IP address, then Mr. Bopp will take care of it if and when he pleases. And he doesn't need you to pester him about it. These are his boards, and NO, it is NOT "his job." He doesn't have to please anybody. He owes us nothing. Anyone who doesn't like the way he moderates is free to leave. Now quit whining you big cry baby and stop trying to get people kicked off of these boards with your underhanded passive-aggressive behavior. You have already managed to eliminate too many interesting people. If you manage to eliminate all who disagree with you, you will have no one left to listen to your whining. |

Not owning a computer and having Wi-Fi, connections, etc. shouldn't mean your right to post something should be null and void. If it means that, then there will be a lot of hidden frustration and truths that never comes to light. |

Good point. There may also be multiple family members posting from one household. But I wouldn't worry about it. Mr Bopp is capable of discernment. The nature of the post is most revealing. However; if a good guy posts from the same library as a troublemaker both will suffer. Unavoidable. By the way, I just noticed that the posts from "C" and "Q" have faded out. They may have buckled under pressure and switched to names/handles that look more "real" resulting in multiple names from the same IP. I hope that Mr Bopp will be understanding. I don't have a problem with differing opinions or most of the posts that others find offensive. I find a lot of it to be entertaining, and it is interesting to see differing opinions. What I find most annoying are the complainers that seem to enjoy getting others in trouble. Childish tattletale behavior - always playing the victim. |

I have wondered if some whom have organizations or post from both a work and a different home address would also make for further ambiguity. I suppose I don't see it as all that simple in identification. Yet I do feel mr. bopp does well considering all the factors given, which are more of than listed in this thread to my way of thinking. I just glad I have a place to post really and not feel signed, sealed and stamped with a moo. I don't wanna be in the herd syndrome. |

I think the issue you raise is a fair one. Check the IP addresses and someone knows for sure. If everyone started using short 'get on and post an annoyance' type handles, we'd end up like the board where everyone jumped into the fray. Personally, I don't have a need for a short or additional name, no matter the post. Some people may not want to think up a handle or are lobbing a trial balloon. On the other hand, I don't think boards need to identify everyone down to their short and curlies due to a more emotional or slanted opinion post. It's a matter of amount. If only a few are doing this, no big deal. Most posts on the Internet are subject to potential mispresentation of the person writing as well as the misrepresentation of the people that a person is writing about. If people are using short names to pull tails and lob muck at someone on the board, yeah, that's not so cool if it gains momentum. As with all my posts, please trash if it does not cut mustard or misses the mark. |

I rather wonder the freaked out frequencies we are saturated in to the nth degree is affecting us...some more than others as they zoom around faster than one could imagine like ping pong balls. And as always, while C's beliefs are vastly different from mine, she's generally a lot nicer than I am when in disagreement with something. Between our differences in belief and the fact that unlike others, she does NOT push, bully, or bludgeon others over the head with a "My way is the only right way" attitude, I tend not to interact with her much. I usually only interact with others when I either strongly agree or if someone's actions rub me the wrong way ethically. C definitely isn't Candace, the internal structures of their belief systems and modes of communication/debate are entirely different. Candace is definitely a bully, though I suspect she's operating within and become one with a system that gaslit and manipulated her into what she's become, which is one of the reasons that for the most part I've decided to leave well enough alone with her. She's her own worst enemy, and it's sad that she's so weak that she feels she has to posture like that rather than just accept that it's OK to be human. |

What I don't understand is why C and KAN/Candace have not asked mr. bopp himself to verify for the sake of peace. If it were me I would have done that long long time ago from the start. Maybe one or both or whatever together will make this request and put it to rest instead of sitting back and watching folks have a huge stuck in the mud debate over the issue time after time. If they truly cared....I mean ...why not? Hopefully we will see a post from them requesting an identity clarification from mr. bopp very soon...it would be the right thing to do imo. I have no idea as for "q" is as I never followed along and seems to post a lot on national...maybe they too would volunteer a request for sake of peace. When I think of "q" now JimW mentioned the character entity from Star Trek does come to mind. |

That way anyone could save it for future reference on account of folks forgot or missed your declaration a while back. If were me and you did so in the past I know I would be using it for reference now. What I noticed recently within the same 24 hour time frame is KAN/Candace and C both referred to you as Pam. I can understand why KAN/Candace does as it is not something you prefer. I myself was not clear on it as I was not posting much in a more personal manner until this past year. When I was clear and one day made an error I immediately noticed and apologized because I realize it matters to you...and so does KAN/Candace. |
