Mr Bopp,
How do I put a video into the body of my email. I have seen several on the boards, and I don't just want to put the "link" URL for someone to go to YouTube.
Please list the exact order of things from A to Z.... (I am not tech smart) and I need the easy to understand version. Like, #1....click on this, #2... do this now... ( lol, you get the picture of how much help I NEED ) I much prefer putting something inside the post rather than a link to something and I appreciate it when others do it this way, too

right click on the video and copy the embed code...then paste it in the body...what you paste into the form body box should have a bunch of code text between 2 iframe tags...

Hi bopp,
I worked late into the night working on this, even tried researching many forums and site's. Most of what I found was people not being able to view you tubes on mobil devices. I don't have that problem at all, just posting the embed code.
No matter what I do, when I put the two spaces back in, it wraps to three lines. I don't even see the BR's when I paste the code from the video, like you must see. But I did copy that one you posted, took out the BR's, (heck, while previewing this post with the carrots on the BR's, they didn't show up, I had to remove them to see BR's). All looked good until I put the spaces back in. I see where the video should be in preview, but no content. When looking at your post here, I'm replying to, I see your post text run out across the screen. So did your embed code you posted for me back on the music board. When you see this reply, you will most likely see my text wraps around every 4 inches, thats the size of post message box I'm writing in.
Anyway, I'll keep trying to figure it out in my spare time, and I sure appreciate the time you spent helping me. Thanks…

Hi Jeff,
Some browsers (like chrome) automatically add a line break where the text wraps in the window. You won't see it in the post composition window, but you will see the result in the preview window. You can see the added break code if you view HTML source.
I found a work-around for the chrome browser which may also work in the Safari browser.
With the earthboppin post follow-up page displayed: Maximize your window, then look for a small shaded area in the right hand corner of the message area. Click and drag sideways (strech), and the message area should expand. Any text typed in the message area should re-wrap, allowing more text per line. Now try zooming out on the page to fit more and again drag the corner out further. The font will look really small, but that is just because your view is zoomed out. It has no affect on how others will see it after it posts. On a windows machine, most browsers will let you zoom out by holding down the control key while pressing the minus (-) key. Later, you can hold Ctrl and press Plus (+) to zoom back in, or hold Ctrl and press zero (0) to reset to 100% zoom.
After you zoom way out, and drag the corner of the message area to fill the page, you will be able to add very long string of text per line. However; it will still add line breaks where it wraps. The font will probably be too small to read, so you might want to type everything in before you do this step. Important: With chrome (or safari), you want all HTML code on the same line unless you know that a break code is acceptable where the new line starts.
When you are happy that the text does not wrap at any point where you don't want an added line break code, click the preview message button, then zoom back to 100% to see if your post looks the way you want. If you need to edit, just hit the browser back button, edit, zoom, stretch and preview again until you are happy with the result. You should see your embedded picture or video in preview if you did it right. When the preview looks ok hit the Post Message button. Another work around (last resort) is to post with the old MS Internet Explorer browser, which does not add automatic line breaks. I am using IE8 on an old Win-XP machine for this post. I don't use IE8 for normal browsing, just once a while for posting on this site. Earthboppin doesn't have ads and is relatively safe (except for some of the ideas some people have ;).

Correction: In the previous post, I said "You should see your embedded picture or video in preview if you did it right." Turns out this statement is incorrect for Chrome browsers.
Pictures/images seem to show OK, but chrome does not show video in preview for me. If done correctly, it shows OK after completing the post, but not in preview. That is a bit frustrating, but I haven't found a solution, other than using a different browser. IE8 works OK, but it is no longer considered to be a safe browser.
I haven't tried this with Firefox, but I wouldn't be surprised if it behaved the same as Chrome, as they both evolved from Mozilla's Netscape Navigator.

Hi Jeff, I knew you were using Safari, but I don't have Safari or a Mac. All I have is this dinosaur Win-XP machine. I offered up my experiences with IE vs Chrome, as Chrome seems to behave similar to Safari.
I don't know if the extra breaks are actually added by the browser, the TalkRec software on Bopp's end could be the real culprit. Obviously, there is something different about what is passed from IE vs Chrome or Safari to TalkRec. It could be that chrome/mozilla/safari add the <BR> at the word wrap locations, or they may be passing carriage returns or some other characters that TalkRec converts to <BR> break code. A simple carriage return would not break the <iframe> tag.
You should be able to view the HTML code for any page. Try right clicking in a blank/white space area and look for an option to view source. Or look for a menu option to view source. It should open in a new tab. If you aren't used to looking at HTML code, it will look like gibberish at first, but scroll down and look for some familiar text that you know is near the embeded object and you will see the embed code that follows.
Also, when you get the embed code from a site like YouTube, you can post it into a simple text editor to see what it looks like before you attempt to use it.
I use the zoom and stretch method with chrome even when posting simple text. This prevents the addition of unnecessary line breaks in the text.

Thanks ShakyD,
I was able to stretch the message window like you described, and was able to get the entire embed code all on one line with no problem. I've been trying everything I could try, but it's not happening. Mr bopp posted what my code looked like with the BR's in it, on the music board. I even tried pasting that, and removing the breaks. But still not working.
I also been trying to find a way to view the HTML source, but can't find that ether. I'm not sure how bopp was able to post the code text, without creating a new video.

Thanks Jim,
I've done that too, but since yours works, I can't see the text of the embed code to compare. They both showed the video, that I'm trying to accomplish.
I'd like to hear from someone that has a MacBook Pro, running Safari OSX Version 6.2.8 Mountain Lion.
But I appreciate anything you can help with.
Jeff

the short lines on your device are what puts the BR tags in....you'll have to figure out how prevent that or get rid of them...that is the problem...
