posted your kindness, love and support.
This has been a fascinating 48 hours of self-
reflection, sadness, some anger, some frustration and
some hopes for the future.
There is an old metaphysical saying, "To change one
thing is to change everything." So, whether you see
these current events in Boppland as positive or
negative, rest assured the message board has changed.
As the old timers know, I have never supported anyone
being kicked off the boards. And I am truly sad to see
RIG and trapper get the boot. Last night I almost
posted to Bopp, kick me off, and let them stay. I could
be the sacrificial lamb. Because with me gone, they
will be rarely confronted or disagreed with.
We need a trapper, a grz and a RIG in this world to
force us to think and face our beliefs. I have
modified some of my beliefs with the information they
have posted.
I was out watering my garden today with my two dogs out
with me. I was grumbling to them about free speech,
fairness, democracy and a few minutes later busted out
laughing.
Earthboppin is a message board owned by a singular
person. It is essentially a private business. There is
zero guarantee of fairness, free speech or anything
else. In essence, there might as well be a sign that
says, "We reserve the right to refuse service to
anybody."
There was a wonderful book in the 80's called "Fire in
the Belly." It reminds me a lot of what happens here.
The author urged, never let anyone put out the fire in
your belly.
I leave with very best wishes to Mr. Bopp and to
trapper and RIG. I love each of you. I know you have
goodness in your soul. If you ever came to Portland,
you would be welcome in my home.
I do regret crossing some lines, yet it is possible it
is a case of trying to mix oil and water, I just don't
know. Anyway, it is obvious this is a lifetime
sentence. The Bopp store is closed to me.
Bopp, I do hope you let trapper and RIG back in. They
have a lot of value even though they are a pain in the
ass.
And a huge thank you to the dozen or so people that
took the time to share their love and kindness with me.
Keep on keepin' on. Don't put out the fire in your
belly.
Even in the Bible, the big guy said he detests luke
warmness.
May you all be happy, joyous and free. May you
celebrate life and love each day.
I am off for my next adventure.

bless you and all that but personally I'm glad Ryan is doing what he has ala trapper et al. Trapper and his cult bogarted the Nat'l board and it was a cult of sorts. Anybody who disagreed with them were labeled an "enemy" - now that's just not right!
You are a political animal and might want to rethink your priorities given what I saw on your FB page. Years ago I was obsessed with politics before realizing how divisive it had all become and now I prefer to be at peace without giving up knowing what the F is going on.
However, I congratulate you for hanging in there since most if not all of us who are left of right/center, etc., left long ago to mostly never return again.
Actually, right now I see some semblance of a new shift on the Nat'l board without the usual suspects infighting there. Might be interesting or not, wait and see.

James, I'm a bit slow to speak here, first because my internet has been so unstable for a good 3 months along with a week long outage apparently just before bopp closed the boards. I have many personal issues that distracted me from really grasping what was going on. There is so much wrong here and I'm still aghast at the latest manifestation. I'm deeply saddened. I have yet to see the probable trigger that fostered Bopp's tantrum.
For what it is worth I do consider you to be one memorable people of this board. I didn't always understand your reactions, nor did I always share your views. I remember crying with you when you lost your little pup. You were real, with real feelings and for that I respected you.
I might not have ever mentioned that my daughter is a theater/media major at PAC U and has frequented the Sandy Theater. Often I wondered if she'd met you.
Be well, please and do not let this be hurtful to you.

I am stunned about what has happened on this website. I guess I'm still trying to understand it but I wanted to write and say to you, and to everyone, that if you, or anyone, will be gone you will be missed very much.
As for your need to improve your behavior, we all have things we need to work on, but for Heaven's sake don't beat yourself up for being honest about how you think and feel.
Grandpa Walton one time was comparing Grandma's feisty disposition with another woman and said something like "a little sugar is fine but for a steady diet we need some spice." That's not a quote but it's the general idea.
Without the spice around here we might descend into a puddle of neutral, bland mush.
With Washington trying to shut everyone up who might disagree with them and all the "political correctness" these days, people are more and more afraid to speak their minds about anything for fear of being hauled off to jail.
Heck, little kids can't even play cowboys and Indians or cops and robbers anymore! No wonder our men grow up frustrated and not able to express themselves. What is this world coming to?
Always remember you are treasured as a friend and many, many people care about you. That goes for RIG and Trapper and everyone else too.

I haven't really been keeping up with the drama here, but
I guess I'm glad I kept the other board open the last few
years as it looks like it will be used well in the near
future.
Very sad to see this place end. Even though I'm not a
frequent poster, I'm a daily lurker and it's been my home
for almost 8 years now.

I lost my password is why I haven't been in there...I could use to start all over again If I were to go there, but as it is with my name already registered I
can't get into it. I absolutely hate passwords for that reason alone. Plus this person following me around, knows how to change them faster then I can get an new one...that's why I have to Gmail these days. It
also means I can't put in to any contests to win anything also. Scum bags!

I love boppin' along's format and the fact that you can uses emoticons there which sometimes help to express sarcasm and humor better than without them...lol
I hope that board gets active. That's the only reason I quit posting there is that there was not much activity. Maybe there will be now.
