thought I would check in and see how the boards are faring without my interference...the usual suspects I see...
so, here's what I got for you
Trapper...you are my brother from another mother, but it's time for you to go...you have monopolized the boards with your incessant posts (most of them essentially the same post for the past few years) and passive aggressive sniping, and the majority here feel you are a blight on the boards...will miss your health guidance but we can always go to curezone for that...thanks for the info you have given me and best always...
James...you have a depth of passion unmatched here but you just cannot keep your mouth shut...you are like a yapping terrier pissing on our collective legs...enjoy your 75 and peace out...
RIG...you are a warrior without peer but you are not going to continue your personal Ragnarok here...the "real one" may come or perhaps it has been here for a long time, and I think we all know that without you constantly shoving it down our throats, but you just keep chipping away at others ...hope you win your battle...
I will give you a day to say your goodbyes and toss your parting shots before the ban takes effect...none of these bans are personal...they are made in consideration of the others here who somehow manage to post and contribute without all the personal bs...that said, there are a few others of you on the bubble so beware, I have not died, I have just removed myself from daily participation and moderation of these boards...the hammer can come down at any time...now back to my repose...

People have differences of opinion that sometimes can hit very emotional buttons.
There are opinions and thoughts held by others in this world that I do not, and may never understand... just like anyone else here.
I do not think that this is reason enough to quiet someone, even someone that I would disagree with strongly.
At times, what they do say, even if it does not, and will never change my mind, in terms of what and how I believe, does offer me insight into their point of view and perspective.
That is a bad teaching tool to lose IMO as it limits our growth potential as human beings.
C'est la vie. I will miss them all.

to be clear, I never had any problem with their thoughts and opinions...I did have a problem with the fact that they couldn't express them without badgering and and other personal inflammatory posts...they all had plenty of warnings...they all chose to ignore them...but like rig said, I am what I am...I will miss them too...

I suppose I have been on very thin ice before too - and was considered to make this list... however, I hope that I have learned, and will continue to learn to better express myself and apposing views without getting canned.

Dear Mr Bopp,
I read some of the posts in response to the actions you took to restore the board to civility and discussion, rather than constant argument and invalidation. It is obvious that some posters are never going to understand or they have emotional needs to keep this behavior going and then feel victimized and amazed as if they had nothing to do with it, and they even attack you. I got the impression that some of the other posters may not fully understand the concept either. It was easy for me to understand because in addition to the intellectual understanding, all that slamming and arguing just felt bad.
I hope you will be coming back because the forum is like home and we need a moderator with your breadth of awareness. You have every legitimate right to be sure earthboppin is working the way you designed it to work. I just wanted you to know that I support you in doing what you need to do for yourself and your creation. You don't have to put up with all this #$%^&. I hope if you take a break, you will come back.

I agree with you totally. At first I found the situation just too incredulous to absorb and wanted to make sure I was looking at all sides before I responded.
You have expressed what I was thinking only much more concisely than what I would have said.

i'm sure that i got on his nerves as much as he got on mine ... and i was even starting to have better rapport with RIG and Jim W.
yes ... they will be missed ... on the other hand ... i doubt that i will be missed at all
after all ... i was on that last top seven "hit list" ... and my current "good behavior" just can't last
