I probably never was a good fit on here. And it is probably better for me to say goodbye. I was planning on doing a 30 day self-imposed time out to see if I could truly avoid conflict and arguing. But it appears this is permanent, maybe 30 years.
I feel for the most part I confronted the message, instead of the messenger, but it is pointless to try and plead my case, when a day in court is not available.
It sounds like the Bopp permanent "death sentence."
Yes, Bopp, I am a man of passion, and my passion and my convictions just don't fit here, it seems. This is not an ideal place for a progressive-liberal who is passionate about the rights of women and gays and the poor.
I read the eq predictions every day even though I never post on there. I have had some dreams that came true, but I never felt I had the accuracy to post. So I will sincerely miss reading the earthquake predictions. I will also miss the health board where I rarely post, but I read it several times a week.
But, as the old saying goes, "Life is a do it to myself proposition" I pretty much did it to myself.
Smooth sailing for all. I still talk to Will once in a while. He stayed with us in Portland years ago, a fine man.
Wishing all of you a rich and rewarding life. Even you, et. LOL Continue to stay sober. In fact I am here to love and support ANYONE who is recovering from alcohol, drugs or smoking. I had to get each one of them out of my life. Smoked for 55 years, two years smoke free.
OK, enough, I am getting teary eyed. When it is all said and done, this board needs me like a fish needs a bicycle.
But I do hope another fiery progressive-liberal pain in the ass shows up and stirs the pot. Pots of luke warm cornmeal mush do not create change.
My apologies to all I have offended. My love to all I had common ground with.
You will be truly missed.
Love and blessings, Jim Wilhite aka James in Portland email: James3322@aol.com

James Several times your name showed up when I logged on my computer with an button..that if I clicked that you could come in without any hassel....I have an brother named with your same name, but he's seldom in town cause he's an truck driver...and he said he gave his computer useage up. But I always wondered since I live not far from Sandy, if your the James White I think was maybe into my computer...or headed there. There is only one more James White I know of.. that is one of the upper echleons in Portland's Scoutting program...but I really had no idea of why he'd be on our computer either. In all cases, we have knowledge of each other, as to all three of you James White names...but my computer should be mine 100 per cent.

Awww James...sorry to see you go. I love your passion for the underdog and for your work you do in your community. Don't let others bring you down and if they do..don't react to it. For every time anger comes up, it affects the whole world. Be peaceful within, use love as your weapon, and continue your journey with dignity, compassion for all, love and light.

Awwww...James...you and I spar a bit, but I still like you a lot. The old email of mine you had, I no longer use. I'll make sure to keep your info in case I miss sparring with you in the future but if you don't hear from me, just know that I've enjoyed our "debates" over the years. It was because of you and Roger that I started posting on EB after finding y'all here after syzygy went pay...
I consider you a friend. I hope you know that.
Will be continually praying for your well being...

In deference to Jim's leaving I will not comment on his looks- LOL

Yeah, with the aforementioned folks gone, I might think about posting but for now am busy on ancestry.com finding all those castles left to my clan by our royal ancestors. ;)
Ah don't worry, I am no fan of Obama or anyone in his cabinet. The latest object of my ire is his sec. of Duh Dept of Education, Arn Duncan. Previously most couldn't get a word in edgewise so you might see a bit more "fair and balanced" here and there, (chuckle)!

I haven't bothered to look at my ancestors. I'm afraid I'd find a bunch of Irish horse thieves from the past.
One grandpa was a coal miner and the other was a chauffeur for a wealthy New Yorker who killed himself after the 1929 market crash. He was a partier who abandoned my dad and his sister after the mom died.

yeah, I have a similar grandfather who loved the ladies, left Grandma high and dry. Most who had criminal backgrounds in the old country changed their names when coming here which leads to a lot of dead ends in ancestry research. For instance, my cousin's Swedish great grandfather changed his name for unknown reasons but it's suspected he was a thief of some sort. Still, wouldn't you love to know where you got those good looks?lol. ;)

any castles so far that any of us have run into are on my long ago divorced hubby's side!lol. Most of my folks either came from Holland, escaped to Germany thence on to Russia & to America in early 1800s (they were all Mennonites running from religious oppression) or the rest came from Germany except for one lone Irish GG grandfather. Russia loved them because they were such good farmers, which is probably where I get my love of farming, green thumb, etc.
In my research, it appears that I'm related in one way or another to just about everybody, yourself probably included! But alas, no castles or lost estates so far! Geez, studying them all is really interesting and I can hardly tear myself away which means I'm way behind in other areas of my life including posting here.
ITMT, prayers to you and your family continue!! :)

If you come across anything on Fethard Castle, please share. That is the main one my dad's side is connected to so much so that my first Nolan/Nolen ancestor in this country named his estate after it. Dad's family married into the O'Brian family and I think they owned the castle...can't remember.
The other one is Rosslyn Chapel with the Sinclair family but that is way, way back...
Irish/English/German/Dutch roots on my mom's side...Huguenots I believe.

interesting Grits! One of my cousins maintains that the Gille (Gillet?)part of my family were Huguenots who fled France way back when. So far, I haven't been able to confirm that though most of the German ancestry lived in what is now the Alsace Lorraine region which was off and on again Germany/France, etc.
There's a "National Huguenot look up" site at the link that might help you find any pertinent info.

Now, he is a hunk- 6'2" 175lbs, blue eyes. He complains about all these women who want to sleep with him- younger-older. This actress who he has dated thinks he s/b an actor.

My 25 y.o. son is very interested in a 34 y.o. woman. I'm not sure how I feel about that. They are pretty close but not dating yet and he is smitten with her.
Dale is good looking but not gorgeous as he is overweight, but he has an almost genius IQ and learned how to smooze the women from his dad...which is why we divorced...sigh
My twins are very cute girls. Mel really is a frou frou gal and keeps herself up really well, but twin sis Les, is a big 'ole tomboy like me...but she cleans up nice...and I did too when I was younger (and thinner..sigh)...not so much anymore...lol...but the only one I have to please is myself as my dating/romance days are long over...for sure! It's very liberating!!!...lol

Thankfully my son already played all his ego stuff out and decided that the better part of valor was to save his marriage, family and at least for now, it's all good.
Phew, these kids sure do test our patience, our fortitude and whatever is left of our sanity!lol.

James, I will miss you too. I do think you get upset too easily and wish you'd have relaxed more - but I've told you that on more than one occasion over the past 15 years, and we always agreed to just disagree - although I often DID threaten to drive up to Portland and dump a colander full of cold wet whole-grain rice spaghetti over your head. LOL!
Awww...James, you know I love you - warts and all. I think of you as a big loveable bear doing organic gardening and directing plays up in Portland.
You know what this feels like? The Wizard of Oz...Dorothy telling the Scarecrow, "I think I'm gonna miss you most of all!"
You ARE more than a little like that loveable, silly Scarecrow, you know that? LOL!
You may kill me for saying this...but...I truly do hope we meet again - if not in this life, then in heaven. Praying for you James. Wish you and your family the best of things life can give.

James, I will miss reading your entries. Darn. There were times in the past that I sometimes saw you as a little dog holding on to someone's pant leg, probably because years ago I saw myself doing that. Life challenges have kept me so occupied that I backed away. I don't recall you being cruel or sarcastic, something I can't say about myself. Thank you for offering to help me quit e-cigs, but I like them, lol.
Have a beautiful summer! Love to you.
