Go to tools on IE (cog on upper far right--highlight safety, scroll to active X filtering and uncheck the box! Restart IE and voila!

But...the box was already unchecked!?
So I checked it, then un-checked. Then restarted IE.

Yay, yay triple yay! I was hoping it was the same issue--whew it sure challenged these old brain cells to try to figure that one. No help at all on any of the google searches or techy sites-they just said to upgrade flash. Now to figure out how many of the downloads of current flash there are actually installed on this poor old 'puter.
