Subject: Defective DVD's

I just bought two defective DVD's in a box set from
Amazon.com and I returned them. I recently ordered a
replacement from Amazon.com and these DVD's have the same
problem. Neither one of them will play in my DVD player.
I hope I can get a refund again.

Do credit card companies have a defective merchandise
policy?

Well, apparently there is nothing wrong with my DVD's.
They played without a problem in another DVD player. I
still don't understand why they wont play in the
Panasonic DVD player I have in my bedroom.

Have you cleaned the DVD laser head? Especially as in a bedroom all the
dust and skin flakes if they get into the player will cause havoc.

I have not done that in a really long time. It is a
Panasonic DVD player that I bought in 1999. It plays all
of my music CD's without problems. Do they still make
special cleaning discs with a small brush on them?

Are they Blue ray DVD's?
Does your DVD player support the Blue Ray format?

No, they are regular DVD's of the Never Say Never
Directors Fan Cut. My Panasonic DVD player will not
play either one. I got a refund and re-ordered them.
The same thing happened with the replacement DVD's.

I know that my DVD player works because I can play all
of the CD's in my music collection without a problem.
My DVD's play with no problem either. I have a
Panasonic manufactured and purchased in 1999.
