Hi guys,
Im getting hard drive BAD errors when I boot up. Have ordered a new laptop, but can you recommend a good, preferably cheap online back-up prog. ?Hopefully I can save my files before it totally crashes.
I have downloaded photos to my gig stick tho. :-))

Downloading CCleaner and running the registry cleaner
might help. I was having computer problems last March
2011 until I installed CCleaner. Its free.

I use Microsoft's SyncToy with an external hard drive.
You can copy entire disks this way or any particular folders you want.
Very handy - IF you have an external disk (or big thumb drive).

Hi there Roger,
Thanks for responding so quickly. Actually am home sick and not up to driving. I emailed a tech web group after posting here, and someone suggested "Carbonite" online, which Im downloading now. It's free for 30 days. Hope wont need it after that.
Since dont have an external disk or thumb drive ... am limited. Thanks for your kind offer of help tho.
