Hi All. Does anyone have a link to the old google search engine? This would be the one without the auto complete and saves your search history. I do not like auto complete and resent google trying to shove it down my throat. Because of this I now use "Bing" or "Web of Thrust Save Search." Thanks a bunch...Don

Have you tried this: https://startpage.com/eng/

It is powered by google but has none of functions you are steering away from.

Hi Ryan. I use Firefox. I want to be able to use Google without autocomplete. It is very distracting and really does nothing to improve the search.

The current google has no provisions for changing. You use it the way they want you to or use another search engine. So I'm using another search engine, which I'm finding they are just as good as google and they remember the search you make and they don't make a whole lot of suggestions. As a matter of fact they don't make any. It is the search you made and that's it. Thanks a bunch...Don

Hi Ryan. I turned it off, but it won't save the search I made. That being the case I will stay with "Bing" or "WOT Safe Search" Thanks a bunch...Don

Google is by far the best search engine on the planet. They have their mercenary side, but so does everyone else, and nobody else searches better. Without Google, do you really think by now we would be able to zoom in on any home in America from a satellite image, or get an accurate, personalized, travel map?

Don't know for sure, but I think that's a Windows function and can be set or unset in Control Panel, but even if not, It's likely that you can unset it in Google.
