due to concern about a planned internet shutdown on March 8 on the pretext of malware-fighting on government computers, I offer up this solution in the slight case there is a problem after that date...

it is hard to get earthboppin.net by ip because it is on a shared server...the ip address to the main menu page is http://205.134.249.85/~earthb11/talkshop/mainmenu.htm
but even the images don't show correctly because the paths to them are not correct when using that ip url...so any page you get from clicking on a link will give a page not found error unless you replace the earthboppin.net part of the url with the ip path...like:
http://www.earthboppin.net/talkshop/geology/
would have to be changed to:
http://205.134.249.85/~earthb11/talkshop/geology/
to get the page using the ip address url...

from another website, they have a link to a German site that can check to see if you are infected:

For non-German speakers, if you see “Ihr System ist nicht vom Trojaner “DNSChanger” betroffen.” in a big green box, you’re in the clear.
If you’ve been infected, head to http://www.dnschanger.com/ for a number of ways to solve the problem, And also ask yourself, who downloaded the fake video codec that infected your computer in the first place?
I went there, got the green box saying my computer is not infected fwiw.

There are other web pages you can visit:
dns-ok.us
dns-ok.fi (Finland)
dns-ok.de (Germany)
If you see a RED sign, your computer is probably infected.
GREEN sign means you’re computer seems to be looking up ID addresses correctly.
The third way is to check it manually. The IP addresses that most likely are infected are listed in this table:

My pet peeve too. No one seems to mind that the meaning of their sentence changed with the wrong word or how awkward or stunted the thought becomes. There's no copy editing for print or TV, especially the ticker tape news. If the anchor can mime or interpret in a confident sing song voice, no worries! They can't be bothered to ask someone pronunciation of names.
Language goes in waves of written then aural/oral written then...and so on. We are definitely in an aural phase now with all the melting pot language additions to the professional workplace and heavy use of colloquial language. Writing suffers a lot in this period, however there can be new ideas and words injected in this 'creative' time. However, if I see one more 'loose' used for the verb 'lose,' I'm going to LOOSE it, LOL. Sentence structure is getting darned weird too. Never mind articles, too much trouble. Ah well..I'm no Hemingway either.

Hi All. When I retired from the Air Force I was stationed at Travis AFB for ninth days. Because they had nothing for me to do related to my AFSC they stuck me in the training office. They gave me a T.O. (tech order) to rewrite at a 5th grade reading comprehension on the engines used on the C-5A. I couldn't believe they had people who could only read at the 5th grade level working of a multi million dollar aircraft. That was probably the hardest thing I had to do. Maybe the 2nd hardest thing I ever had to do. The first was teaching officers the art of good management. Now that was a daunting task.
What were seeing today is micromanagement. That is the worst form of management there is as it stifles creative thinking which might lead to new or better products. Take Care...Don
