Subject: Thinking about dumping my cable and going internet tv...


Anybody else try this? There is box you can buy called Roku that runs on wi-fi and hooks up to you tv. Then you subscribe to stations that you get free internet tv. There are some you have to pay for but it seems like it would be a lot cheaper than 80.00 a month for cable. Anybody?

be using Netflix. Many of my friends use Netflix and love it.

The Wireless TV Box will cost 85.00 each. The internet high speed is 60.00 per month. Netflix is 9.00 per month. That is 69.00 per month. I am currently paying 140.00 for cable and satillite. Even if I buy into certain internet TV channels (like racingTV) I figure the most I will be spending is 100.00 per month. With a savings of 500.00 per year.

Netflix is great! You can pick how many dvd's you want, with a fluxuating price depending on how many dvd's you pick a week. And if for some reason there is a problem with the dvd, like it skips, or it's scratched, etc...just send it back, post on their website what the problem was..and they send you a replacement, no charge.

There are some movies you can watch online too. Just not all of them.
