Subject: Win 7 CD Autorun won't stop Opening CD Door


Turn on computer, first thing after loading, the CD door opens and windows (I think) tells me to put a CD in. I went to Control Panel and turned off everything in sight but the damn door still opens and asks to insert a CD. Driving me batty. Anyone?

see if any of these solutions will help you Dib.
I just got through with a java virus cleanup this am.
Did some pretty strange stuff to my mouse, webpages, etc. Puters are a pain in the arse but what would we do without them!

Oh and while trying to find a more apt solution, I found this which says to clean your cd tray out, I remember now, that was a problem I had, the thing was totally dirt filled!

Yeah, I know I can find the answer on the web, but it would take several hours, and I thought some geek here would know the answer and take pity on me.
