I’m shocked, saddened, profoundly disappointed and disgusted by the silence here.
Israel's extermination of the Palestinian people wouldn't be happening without US weapons & a green light from the Biden administration. Fuck the UN & the rest of the world, right? Israel is destroying a culture and its people and practically nobody here cares enough to even discuss it, let alone dare criticize Biden’s psychopathic policies subsidizing it. We are actively assisting Israel’s targeting & elimination of whole families, the elderly, children, journalists, healthcare providers, cultural leaders, activists, writers, hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, museums, churches & residences, etc. Over half of Gaza’s population has been displaced. Hundreds of thousands of civilians are starving to death right now. And Biden has just gone a step beyond, cutting humane UNRWA support, which will only ensure more suffering, starvation and death.
Yet, silence.
It’s outrageous and unacceptable. You all should be ashamed but clearly you're not, and that I cannot understand.
Except for a couple of vocal people here, primarily chatillon, most remain silent. It’s ironic that probably the poster I’ve deeply disagreed with the most here over the years is practically the only other person doing the right thing, speaking up about the mass slaughter our country is participating in.
I’ve come to realize that my values aren’t shared by you and most of your group (on the political boards, at least). I have nothing more to offer. And I’m so much happier since I’ve stopped wasting precious time participating. Shalom, ya’ll.

Hi Akira,
Mr Bopp has created such a toxic environment here that life away from EB is so much better, believe me. Not sure how or why you put up with it for so long. I have never seen another forum anywhere on the internet this toxic. Suggestions have been made but Mr Bopp enjoys the toxicity.
Contribute somewhere that your valuable contributions will be appreciated and where you personally aren't disrespected as regularly happens here. I'm confident you will feel better for it.
Cheers
Jim

Aloha akira, it’s nice to see you’re doing good..
I too am shocked, saddened, profoundly disappointed and disgusted by the silence..
The silence of support for the people of Israel that live in constant terror of death and harm coming to them from those that have sworn their destruction.. that have perpetrated harm to them and their’s every day, 24/7, for years.
Imagine living under such conditions. It’s horrifying.
Of course.. if Hamas were to lay down their guns everyone could get back to putting all the destruction they have caused to rights.. but I ain’t holding my breath as long as Iran don’t want it..
I do wish you and yours continued good health and happiness..

I am sure we all agree.. it's just a matter of has Hamas/Iran figured it out yet? After all, they're the ones poked the bear. It's on them, every last bomb, every last drop of trauma, on every side.. is on Hamas. Every morsel.. every crumb. And anyone whining otherwise is just doing Iran's bidding.. crying for tweet tweet tweet.. sucking Elon's...
Maybe next time Hamas will not so cavalierly attack Israel. And, hopefully when we, the USA, gets done with our current campaign Iran will think twice.. otherwise, what do you expect? What do you suggest? I am sure upon consideration you'll agree.. if those jokers keep throwing bombs it's incumbent upon us to make it so they no longer can. Isn't it?

My Worldview changed rather drastically after we liberated Vietnam and made the American Dollar God.
I respect your opinion on Israel but I see little evidence in the real world as to why I should share it.
Are you ready to destroy the world as we know it because someone in Washington suggested it was the only "right" thing to do?
I'll pass on that option thank you.

Why don't you mention what Israel has previously done to the Palestinians and that Israel helped create Hamas to successfully weaken the PLO and defeat their bid for an independent State?
Depending on your point of view, it's quite easy to defend either side.
What's called for is not more genocide, but a peaceful solution arrived at by adults, not soldiers and American bombs.
I believe this was probably akira's point over the last several months but she was ignored in favor of those that promoted an impossible military resolution.
If this goes to full scale global conflict, which many politicians seem to favor, there will only be losers.
Why are you so reluctant to talk your way out of Armageddon while we still have a "choice"?
How many countries do we have to destroy, including our own, before we learn how to get along?
EB apparently is just a microcosm of what seems to be engulfing the entire planet as I type.
...always appreciate your thoughts ao.

Because that has nothing, absolutely no thing, to do with it. Nothing. Hamas made a choice.. and is paying the price for making it. The people who allow themselves to be represented by Hamas are playing the price.. it's war. Hamas started it, and they are perpetuating it. It's 100% their doing.. period.

...America made the choice to call the shots for the entire world. You "ok" with that ao?
That "choice" comes with consequences not only for the USA, but for you and me whether we support those choices or not.
America started this global genocide and it's 100% percent our doing along with those that support our global policies.
When the smoke clears and the bodies are counted, no one is going to look at what 20,000 Hamas fighters did in the Gaza strip...
They will compare America and perhaps the remnants of Israel to WW2 and Germany and few will believe how this could have happened.
Noone will believe "we" let it happen knowing what the result would be.
An "eye for an eye" only creates a totally "blind" population.
At least we can honestly say we didn't "see" it coming...
...but honestly, as both of us know, that would be a lie.
Would you really prefer to destroy the world rather than go to the table and act like real adults before our ignorance destroys everything we cherish because we believed someone "else" should pay the price of responding to our own misguided global ambitions?
America as the "good guy" isn't going to cut it this time.

I think "otherwise" ao because it is "my generation" that is currently destroying the planet, that can't tolerate honest dissent, has to control others because it can and refuses to understand that nearly every problem in life has more than one acceptable conclusion.
I believe the "second coming" is not a Biblical promise but a "personal" experience that any seeker can experience with the creator if that be one of the goals in "their" life. Christ is available 24/7, no need to set a time or date for a mass public viewing when it's already there for the taking.
The sky is falling because we're too lazy to fix the roof or clean up our own act before blaming everyone else.
My views of major global events just ahead is based on the fact that our leadership is hellbent on creating their own Armageddon and very few of the rest of us seem to be very concerned about where we are obviously headed if we don't learn to love one another.
I've described what my generation is doing for World Peace, what's yours think?
I predict we'll take it to the edge and pull back just in time.
Unfortunately I've been wrong a lot lately.
What's your best guess?
I do appreciate your sincerity ao.

"What's your best guess?"
Mine? Well lately I've been wondering if tonal relationships, such as those described by Music Theory, are the same in all the ends of the universe(s)? I get they’re the same as they are transposed higher and lower through the audible range, but what happens in the very ends of the tonal scale, let alone, do they behave the same in dramatically different structures, in atmospheres of entirely different chemistry? Heard/felt by other's with entirely different sensors?
Questions like do the intervals we find in music, the system by which harmonious tones are identified, apply to the higher vibratory range of light? If so, mathematically the colors assigned to a note often differ from the colors those who experience Chromesthesia assign them. And even then, those so gifted don’t always experience the same colors as others do.
And then I wonder what's the tonal structures angels find pleasing? Is it even possible to create celestial music? Or are we missing it entirely? There’s something in there Nev, at least that’s where I’ve been wandering lately..
About all that other stuff.. mankind is going to destroy the ability of this planet to sustain life. As to the why and wherefore and all that? I'm sure your guess is as good as mine.

Now that just might be a subject we can find a lot of common ground on.
Perhaps we can move this over to "Bible etc." and explore it further. I'm actually currently exploring these concepts but from the perspective of traditional Classical Music and how those combinations might influence us in more positive ways.

I followed JB on Art Bell decades ago, later on his web page that inspired ryan and EB. Job's "vision" seemed clear enough at the time which ryan expanded on here on EB.
...and yes, EB is still "here" much the same as the democratic party is still here, pretty much in "name" only, a "shadow" of its original vision.
Akira had her finger on the pulse of the "world".
Apparently a topic most here could care less about. I always thought we were here to make this a better world, not just one up one another as is so common with posters here these days.
Good to hear from you ao.

And yet you somehow managed to allocate just a few more moments of your precious, invaluable time to come here, climb up on the pedestal of your self-righteous rage and read us yet another riot act of judgement upon our collective character...
(Better cite a few more of your loyal minions here besides chatillon, they'll be jealous...)
You already know my response.
Please do feel free to further economize your energies.

I knew she was a devotee of the Divine Mother. Perhaps her lease on her apartment was up and she decided to join an ashram somewhere.

Akira has taken breaks before. And comes back without personal explanation. More than likely she will return in her own timing. Heck, we all need breaks in our lives 😊 from others and even ourselves ;)

Indeed.
I wish her well. we'll most likely see her again. Sometimes space is good for perspective. Nothing wrong with breaks.

i did not ban akira...
...true enough, but you didn't exactly encourage her either. It's my spiritual understanding that part of our mission on Earth is to support each others growth and evolution.
Doesn't seem to be a lot of that going on around here anymore...
...her current lack of participation is not a good indication of what lies just ahead.
Unfortunately she was one of the few posters here that bothered to actually research and substantiate what she chose to talk about.
Obviously she won't be missed...
...until it's too late to make a positive difference anymore.

What do you mean, Nev? I miss akira.. I don’t agree with many of her positions, but damn I miss them, and her, nonetheless.
Gee, brah, I even missed you.

...her "positions" were largely "ignored" by most on EB so why bother when 90% percent of the posters here are much more interested in blaming "republicans" for what ails the world than in presenting and considering multiple alternative explanations for what currently ails our somewhat divided planet?
EB's "problem" is not "republicans"...
......it's an aging group of participants that are just smart enough to think they still know it all...
...and still strong enough to stifle any meaningful dialogue.
When they couldn't engage akira at an academic level, they just ignored her.
That in a nutshell explains why the larger world seems to consider starting new wars makes more sense than building new leaders.

Hi Nevada,
You cannot ignore her and others here supporting the death and anialation of Israel and all Jews and Christians in this world.
No one should ignoring that.
I personally find that extremely disturbing to me. I will never engage with her again... That goes for others here who engaged in that behavior.
In your Nutshell, these differences in beliefs in the name of God will be our demise. And maybe that is the best solution, as long as it's done by God's hand himself.
Best always, I think of you a lot, and miss you.
Jeff

"Just different kids with attitudes passed on for generations."
Yep! I couldn't agree more.
Kids with attitudes that flare up when things and people they don't personally like are supported, seen as valid and worthy of all God's blessings...
...and kids with attitudes that flare up whenever all human beings are NOT equally supported, seen as valid and worthy of all God's blessings...
Fortunately, God/Infinite Love values and cherishes All the same. ;)
And although I love every human being equally, each being another expression of the One We Are, regardless of what "attitude" they sport...personally I'm most comfortable doing my best to embrace the values God models...and very uncomfortable indeed with attitudes that support excluding anyone from their God-given rights and freedoms...
But hey, that's just me.
