Here's an alternative to expensive dome structures, for chicken tractors or greenhouses, or bases for other building, quick, easy, fun.

Sorry, this should work.
It's pretty economical if you just get the hubs, and quick if they sell you the connecting poles.
The plants are requesting cover to extend the growing season, and shade to protect in the heat of summer. Don't have a garden this year, but am preparing for next year, grow domes seem a reasonable solution.
For a quick, inexpensive thin shell concrete (which you can air up and build up for a stronger shelter), try Aircrete Harry. He sells & gives plans for a tyvek balloon you can do yourself. Lots of YouTube's for details.
The new fashion for domes seems to be two, one upon the other with insulation in between. This (from what I understand) prevents condensation, etc. Both Tie domes and Aircrete Harry cover it on their sites.
Check out styrocrete (3 parts styrofoam-1 part concrete) for insulation. Styrocrete YouTube's available, with suggestions to get the styrofoam free for recycling.

I revisited Aircrete Harry's site and was very disappointed that he has monetized *to hundreds of dollars!* almost every aspect of his operation. I no longer recommend it for that reason, he has substantially changed the character of his operation.
