Looking back in history to the largest port in Italy
during the Roman era, Traiano Port with colossal
buildings break walls and megalithic fortification walls
is completely gone and now sits 1.75 miles inland. What
we understand as gradualism in Earth changes doesn't
exist, something else almost instant happens on a cycle,
and we are near the time again.

I flashed this morning about a map I saw almost forty
years ago in a geophysics building on a state campus ...
it showed the gulf of alaska and the last of the Kula
plate ... like a fingernail nearly eaten up by the North
American plate ... now the Kula plate and the Pacific
plate have a spreading center between them ... what
happens when the Kula Plate is totally absorbed and the
Pacific plate butts up against the continental plate? a
spreading center on-shore in the gulf there? hmmh ...
the shock waves might just topple the poles and we can
all begin again ... is your chamber ready?
