Subject: my sister's prepper friend died recently |

Her name was Laura and she had set up a retreat in west
Central Texas. She was a brilliant business consultant
and made a fortune. Her husband and she were both
convinced that a nuclear war would happen and they
prepared for many years.
My sister just got word from her husband that Laura
passed away a few days ago from a heart ailment at the
age of 53. Ironic that she passed away after all the
years of prep work just at a time when their worst
fears might finally manifest.

one thing is for sure, -we all pass on...
have you watched the series " Alone " on the History Channel ??
it's quite amazing what people can accomplish when they are literally dropped into the wild, -all alone , with some basic tools, I'm seriously impressed by some of the participants...
it's beyond awesome...

none of us know the time when the sands have run out for each of us as you know Joe. I guess thats why I am not a planner, seen too much my whole life, including my own, that the best laid plans gang oft astray. sigh..I have nearly 'gone' several times and amazingly I am still here wondering why that is. and yes, her/their plans might have value for her husband and family. I just wouldn't want to be here after a nuclear war, coming out of the ground and looking at a wasteland myself. what do you do then?...oye, bless her...
