Hi, I looked at both videos. The last one said it takes about '40 mins to boil a pint of water on a nice sunny day like this. '
Might do for somethings. And in nice weather. The way the weather is going in some areas, not practical. Especially when those Sun dimmers get on with their dimming of the Sun experiments beginning in Feb. :-O

Hi Pamela,
Yeah, I can't think of getting myself into a situation, at my age, where I
would need to use this, except for the fun of it.
When I was younger, I was Joe backpacker, and did plenty of overnighters.
But never by myself, and never to far from civilization.
If I were home during a major crises, (less fire) I have water out back,
wood&stove, generator, and of course the Sun Oven. long term food may be
a different issue, if the trout and crawdads run out. Here's the link to the

Personally, I don't think I would go to this extreme.
Anyway, nice to hear from you, hope your doing great... Were doing very
