You know Ryan...I like watching the off grid cabin by
Shawn James and the Forrest Kitchen off Grid series he
is building now...he has mushroomed into fame these
days and with him every advertiser and novice cabin
builder all over the place ...even political ads for
Oregon by the name of Kanute...as if TV isn't enough.
Just little 4 second ads thar interrupt watching what he's doing...irriates me. He;s famous for finding an
lifestyle that is in today's world "free" almost...you
still need some tools...he's an master bush builder
and people losing their homes with no money to replace them with open their arms to his knowledge. I'm just
hoping they don't get to the place where they have all
but elminated his message.... for their advertisements.

Kemokae, my uncle willed me his whole set of Fox Fire books. 10-
of them. They tell you how to build a cabin, make water drinkable.
How to live off the land with very litttle. I love having these books.
It also shares natural meds from the earth to ease pain, sickness,
whatever Mother Nature throws at you. The earth can provide.

I have had my Fox Fire books for an long time, when they orginally came out it was an group of high school students where my hubby went to school back there in Missouri Ozarks that researched them and revived the first set...since then they have changed dramatically. like telling what woods for what for what uses in building....and how to make your own nails of course. Thatching on top of roofs.
Storing an making jerky for over winter also...mostly venison and hams. How to make your own flax clothing also. I have them stored for my grandsons now.
