Christmas jam; cranberries, and strawberries put in a food processor just enough to make it small chunks. Going to gather my water bath cooker, tools and 14- pint jars. It will have to wait till Thursday or Friday this week. Fall season makes me want to nest. Our Flaming Maple 🍁 in the front of our home is beautiful this year. Thank God it rained Thursday! Kat

Get your 14 pints made or not, I lucked out and bought an round of different sugar free Jams recently for the Pantry. I like an swath each of peanut butter and jam on my toasted raisin English muffin with coffee some days...esp when I don't get to the store to buy my organic muffins...made with flax seed flour. Don't put anything on them as they sell them in different kinds like carrot and raisin, apple and cinnamon, blue berry, cranberry and orange, etc.

Made my jam with trivia- made from stevia. My husband can’t have a lot of real sugar. Came out fine. Exchanged cup of sugar for cup of trivia. 2-3ozs of liquefied pectin to thicken it. Yum!

Can he eat little bits of "fry bread" with his jam... very good..take my word on that one, he sounds like my neighbor Randy, he's so good on his diet...would go good with an little diet apple cider juice about now.

He keeps his carb intake at or less of 50grams each meal. With meds it keeps his blood sugar in the norm. Through the VA he gets a new med, saxagliptin ,has really helped him a lot. It also has made him lose 15-lbs. A-1C is at a norm also 6.8. We are very happy with this endocrinologist! He is independent from the VA due to the fact that the VA couldn’t get him in to see a DR within 30-days. Kat

kemokae, that's not strictly speaking true!!! I was put on carvedilol a few years back to even out my heart beat and keep my blood pressure down after a heart attack and stent procedure. Yeah, it did normalize things but at a cost,. I'm losing all my teeth, they have turned to play doh from this med and are crumbling like clay. Very sad, no alternative BP drugs work for me. This is sadder than I can convey...
