8 Rutgers, 8 romas, 6 Anaheim, 6 jalapeno, 6 habanero, 2 basil and one rosemary. have 6 big bertha's left to plant. problem was the buckets were not ready for the peppers yet so had to do dirt work, mix wood chips, dirt and mulch together for buckets that needed more fill. I plant two peppers per five gallon bucket. that usually works well and then the buckets are placed where the automatic sprinklers water them a bit. they always need more water though when it gets about 90 or so. the tomatoes are planted now in gallon containers and when they get bigger, I will plant them in the garden. chas

Yesterday after I got done working at 11-am went to my sisters and putts. By the time we were done I had mowed all her lawns ( bout a1/4 acher) in front and smaller lawns in the back, both little lawns right in front and a side lawn. She has a Hugh 'U' shape driveway. This morning it's raining! Everything happens for a reason! Sat. We mowed the bull pen, not used any longer but a another 1/4 acher. Grass was so high it almost came to my shoulders! Her tractor comes home this week from her sons in Oak Dale, CA so we may plow in the near future. I miss doing lawn work. There is no yard work where we live now.
One of my Dr.s bought 11- million shares of penny stock in our company, he read the web site and was very impressed. But, as always, only God knows the rest of the story to this venture. Raised garden sounds good, hope you yield a good crop from all planted. Kat

On wow, you have been busy...with the health problems I having this year...not planting an garden this year...and the grandson came over this weekend and helped grandpa do the front yard. So it's neat and tidy now. Everything is in bloom right now, especially the rhodies and azlaleas and blooming bushes. It's still cold out there night's but things are indeed a bit more promising looking for an garden planting.

Got some in over the weekend but holding off as we are under severe storm watch/warning for this afternoon and being on the Palmer Divide area it looks like the target is on us for high wind, flooding rain, hail and tornadoes.
Going out as the clouds build and cover the plants with buckets, cans, pots, straw and anything else to protect the ones that are up and looking happy.
Rain and cool/cold most of the week here on the high plains.
