Pamela, that is powerful! So driving, deep and strong. Sitting here like Red
at the southern tip of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, deserts to the
east, San Joaquin Valley to the west, and multiple raging fires to the
south, I will play this every day as I meditate and pray. Thank you.

Crescenta Valley Weekly

·
By Mary O’KEEFE
“We are looking for rain as early as Saturday afternoon
and lasting to Monday,” said Ryan
Kattell of NOAA.
He added the rains will not be consistent during those
three days but on and off. About an inch is expected
overall.
“The period of the most concern [for the fire areas] is
late Sunday afternoon into early Monday
morning. That is when we should see the most intense
rain for that period,” he said.
The winds that we have been experiencing for that last
few weeks will calm and winds coming from the
south are expected with some periodic gusts of 20mph.
Those who live in the wildfire areas can pick up
sandbags at several locations throughout LA County. It
is advised to call those locations first to make
certain they have sandbags available.
To find the locations go to
https://pw.lacounty.gov/dsg/sandbags/.
There are numerous companies, non-profit organizations
and local support for those who have been affected by
the wildfires. One company that is helping is Living
Spaces, which is offering a Mattress Donation Program.
For information visit
https://www.livingspaces.com/event/firerelief/la.

I do not know if it covers your areas of concern or not
but at least its something. All areas of S California
need the rains.

Thanks. My two younger children have managed to move
away from the LA areas proper- so far they are safe- am
concerned for my former daughter in law living in
Tujunga areas- all of them live in Tujunga/Sunland
areas. But my youngest son and his new wife and baby
living north of Santa Clarita. And my daughter and her
son and husband living in Santa Clarita. My eldest son is
with me in SW MT. While they are having the fires there-
we in SW MT are enjoying the near blizzards here. Fire
and ice.

My daughter and her family live in Canyon Country/Santa Clarita. They
were sitting between two fires this week, as you probably know, and had
bags packed but were spared. No one is out of danger yet.
Santa Ana winds are brutal and rain is desperately needed.
Your song vibrates in my spirit.

Yes its all very truamatic - and reports get crazier
every day- well wishes, and singing/praying for relief
and rain. Our town here in MT is sending fire fighters
over there now to help out.
