I like this description, the 'pause point', a moment of stillness since it reflects
what appears to be happening up above during the solstice.
It always baffles me why christian myth believers celebrate the birth of
allegedly the most important person ever to grace the earth on a date already
celebrated by pagans. As if maybe Jesus' birthday isn't really special after all,
but it is, so let's celebrate on a pagan holiday. Because they were just that
lazy.?

What you're missing there is the "purifying,"
"transformational" effect they imagined they would have
upon the "dirty pagan" holiday by Christianizing it...
And, yes...they really believed that... Being able to
transform a day from evil to Christian was far more
powerful for them, than to simply create brand-new
holidays...

Made a menu for what I am cooking up for Solstice -
holiday dinner/supper-for the holidays/ Roasted red
onions, cranberries, roasted turkey, green bean
casserole, sweet potatoes, gluten free stuffing,
Intervewed a new person to help with house cleaning and
personal care for myself- I hired her this afternoon.

and music--always music, singing or playing tunes on my
guitar, tho I stopped playing for several years- I have
to get back into again- for my own good. Its a private
reason I stopped, but nows the time to begin again- and
finish the songs and music. heres a tune I like to hear-

For whatever reason this year my own process feels very
synced up w/the Solstice, especially in the way this gal
frames the Sun's standstill preparation for the
new...thanks for posting her comments... A monster virus
laid me very low for the past few weeks, sicker than I'd
been since '19, lost nine lbs. and am recovering more
slowly than has ever happened for me... Talk about wiping
the slate clean...this thing wiped the floor w/me...lol...

yeah I was very sick in August- wiped me out too and my
son along with all his other illnesses from the mold,
allergies from teh mold-etc and then his finger which is
healing nicely. All 3 of us made it by the hair of our
chinney chin chin- Sunny my cat also is the third
person. Poor lil guy- he is better now and got a good
nail trimming today - thanks all for good
thoughts/prayers
