Subject: Three Cups Of Water

Many ages ago were three young boys who were picked by the village elders to become a possible student of the Enlighten One from the Mountain of Oneness. Each boy was given a small wooden cup full of water. The one who brings all the water across the narrow river by boulder hopping to the enlighten one without spilling a single drop, would become the student of the great wise teacher. For this student would take over as the next guardian of the mountain of Oneness. Out of the three, the youngest boy was considered the least likely to pass the test as he was looked upon as being different as he spent all his time in the wild talking to nature. So the Elders felt by picking him, he would give the other two boys a better chance, for it was considered an honor to be the next guardian of the mountain of Oneness. It was now time for the first boy to go with his cup of water as he only made it halfway before spilling it all. The the second boy now went with his cup of water only to reach the second boulder before spilling his cup of water into the river. Now it was time for the one who was thought to be dumb to go. He knew from all his experiences in nature that it would not be possible to boulder hop across the river holding a cup of water without spilling a single drop. So he stood there giving thanks to the precious water and drank the whole cup. As the boy finished his cup of water, the great wise teacher of wisdom signaled for the boy to boulder hop over to him. In reaching the enlighten one, the boy hands over his empty cup and was given a stern look of disappointment, followed by a gentle smile. The young boy then apologized to the enlighten one,"I am truly sorry for drinking the cup of water before even trying great teacher." And the enlighten one said,"my dear young brother of Oneness, for you have passed the test when all others have failed. You have brought all the water across without spilling a single drop. For you have become one with the water when all others became separate from the water. You my young brother of Oneness have proved worthy to become the next guardian of the mountain of Oneness." I left my empty cup of water in Molokai years ago, one of the most spiritual places on planet earth. I was very fortunate in having permission from a Native Elder to do one of the most beautiful off trail hikes in my walks in life. The hike started at sea level and went up over 4000 feet in elevation up into the Bogs on top of the island. In the video provided is the east end of Molokai. |

I really like watching his videos also, and glad he was able to see the east end of Molokai. When visiting Molokai it feels as though you've gone back in time, and if you're in tune, one can feel how holy the island is. I strongly feel much of that energy was created by Father Damien who unselfishly put his own life at risk taking care of those with hansen's disease. Highly recommend the movie Molokai, gives a depiction of Father Damien efforts there, and how he died there, or should I say how he created a powerful spiritual aura that surrounds the island itself. |

You're very welcome! Since I'm not ever going to publish my book, and before the stories perish into Oneness forever, I'll post them here. There's around a 170 or so stories. The best ones I've never put out there to read and have been holding back on them for sometime now. I did get the stories copyrighted several years ago, but don't want to post my full name on the bottom of the stories like I should for legal purposes. Thank you! |
