Powerful Quotes from the Quran. Muslims believe the
Arabic Quran is the direct speech of God revealed to
Muhammad, son of Abdullah, a direct descendant of
Ismail, the son of Abraham.

So, how is this any different than those who think
Christianity is the 'only way'? The meaning of the
words is almost identical.

"Your deity of worship is only One God. There is no
deity of worship except Him, the Most Compassionate to
all, the Especially Compassionate to believers." —
2:163

"When My servant asks you [O Muhammad] about Me, indeed
I am near. I Respond to the call of every caller when
they call upon Me. So let them also respond to Me and
believe in Me, so they may be guided." — 2:186

"God! There is no deity except Him, the One who
sustains Himself and sustains all of His creation.
Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him
belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. Who
could possibly intercede with Him without His
Permission? He Knows their past and their future but no
one can grasp any of His Knowledge except as He Wills.
His Throne’s Footstool encompasses the heavens and the
earth and the preservation of both does not tire Him,
for He is the Most High, Most Great." — 2:255

"To God alone belongs everything in the heavens and
everything on the earth. Whether you reveal what is in
your hearts or conceal it, God will hold you
accountable for it. He forgives whoever He wills, and
punishes whoever He wills and God is most capable of
everything." — 2:284

“Say [O Muhammad]: if you sincerely love God, then
follow me. God will love you and forgive you your sins.
God is Forgiving and Merciful.” — 3:31

“[…]God is sufficient for me. There is no deity worthy
of worship except Him. In Him I put my trust. And He is
the Lord of the Mighty Throne.” — 9:129

I always have wondered about the term 'worship' myself. What does that mean anyway, to anyone?

I 'talk' to the creator source, share my thoughts, my feelings, my prayers for this or that or whom, but always know and even 'say' to the creative force, that 'you' already know what is in my heart and mind, even more then I do myself, so it is like I am talking to a friend.

I would never want anyone to 'worship' me...and why would the creative force/creator 'need' anyone to worship 'it' as 'it' already is 'all that is' and 'all that ever will be', and nothing can change that 'love energy' that is in everything, everywhere.

But then I have always felt 'in tune' with this, and always know that without 'spirit' we are nothing. I think (?) that so many, if not all are searching for that 'in-tunement' through any way they can, whether through a particular belief, religion, culture, meditation, and on and on. some do find that 'in-tunement' within themselves and find peace and love, for themselves and for everything. Others, no matter how hard they search, never seem to be able to 'get there from here'. Doesn't it say in the bible, 'the kingdom of God is within'? :-)

It's a puzzlement....ok random thoughts running through my eclectic mind today it seems...

ciao for niao

Christianity believes in a Triune deity. The others do
not. They are very different religions. God creates no
religions. Only humans do.

yes, and that is where such a big problem lies in our
world. When humans think that the religion they follow
is the 'ONLY' one to follow and is the 'ONLY' right one.

hey let's look at this in the following way
your truth
the truth according to somebody who knows the truth
the truth

if your truth correspond appropriately with the truth
according to somebody who knows the truth or with the
truth then is such yours or you just happen to know the
truth based on the truth that anyone and everyone who
knows the truth accordingly gets to have hold share?

as to the rest of what you quoted there seems to me a
lot of mixed signals marks telltale signs ... just be
careful of the savvy charlatan who seems like the
genuine visionary... But it is true one can't get to
the truth unless God helps one to get to the truth by
interceding directly or by way of somebody else... this
sometimes is also true in interactions with others and
getting to what they meant to share... one may be
unable to do that unless somebody who knows helps one
to make sense from that... for example if I say use the
Vft3=-+ technique or the wjg way... likely that be
meaningless jargon unless you know V involves valid= f
involves falid- and t involes talid+ ... and realize
that falid- stands for false validate.... etc...

this isn't 'my truth - what was quoted comes from the
Quran, which is the 'truth' for those who follow Islam.

Well, seeing as how it's the third side of the People of
the Book....
Is that surprising?

It is not surprising that Islam sounds much like
Christianity because it is the youngest sibling belonging
to the family of what is called the People of The Book,
Judaisim being the elder and Christianity being the
middle.

Note that of the three, Christianity is the only one
which does not promote the annihilation of disbelievers
somewhere in its teachings--not that Christianity hasn't
indulged in the enterprise anyway.

before... and I am not surprised that what preceded or
followed Christ is different from the way of Christ ...
