Subject: Matt Kahn/ Differentiating between *having an ego* & *being in* ego ;)

Understanding what's actually being referred to by the
term "ego," in our conscious self-awareness process,
can be incredibly tricky and confusing...so many
different contexts of understanding and interpretation
around it these days... And while this doesn't go into
it in detail, from Matt's perspective, it does offer
some sense of what differentiates our solely-human/-
younger/-egoic nature from our higher-resonance
spiritual selves... ;)

Again and as always...shared for those who
resonate/relate... ;)

"There is quite a difference between having an ego and
being in ego.

Having an ego gives you the ability to respond.
Being in ego provides opportunities to react.

Having an ego gives you the ability to perceive.
Being in ego provides opportunities to assume.

Having an ego gives you the ability to connect.
Being in ego provides opportunities to judge.

Having an ego gives you the ability to grow.
Being in ego provides opportunities to avoid.

Having an ego gives you the ability to face change.
Being in ego provides opportunities to fear change.

As we hold space for the acceptance of ego, allowing
it to evolve in consciousness, we are aligning with
the highest force of intelligence to transform this
planet for the heart-centered evolution and
compassionate well-being of all."

hmmm wish I could find my writings on 'ego' shadow...basically 'spirit' showed me that ego was created for survival means, however 'ego' became something unto itself and grew to be the 'identity' that a person has of themself, and therefore became the identifier, the magnifier and creator of their reality in the way they want it to be and has forgotten the connection to the 'all'. Thus, too many are now locked into that perception of 'who' they think they are and 'what' they are.

*******

Who Do You Think You Are?

Turn around,
Put your foot on the ground,
Hold your hand out to the stars.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

Do you think that you’re a body,
A mind without a soul,
Parts with many pieces,
Nothing to make you whole.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

“What” you are is Money,
“What” you are is success.
“What” you are is anything else,
you “think” is happiness.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

Do you think that you’re a president,
A lawyer or a nurse,
Do you think you are a gardener,
Digging in the dirt.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

Have you found your happiness,
Is peace down in your soul,
Or are you smarter then anyone else,
Lost out of control.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

What do you teach your children,
Is it love, hate or fear,
When it’s time to hold them,
Do you draw them near?

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

“Who” is not a body,
“Who” is a whole,
“Who” is part of everyone else,
All the world can hold.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

Listen in the stillness
And your eyes will see,
Surrender, cease to struggle,
Your “who” will set you free.

Who do you think,
Who do you think,
Who do you think you are?

Thank you for your wonderful poem and exactly how your
phrased your input, kay! ;) This has sparked kinda epic-
length elaboration/response for me and, as always when
it's like this, it's gonna take me awhile and,
hopefully, I'll actually finish...lol... ;D ^..^ Love to
you!
