If we are so busy putting others down whether we
consider them our enemies or just thoughtless thugs, do
we also spare time to pray for them; to be healed? to
be shown a better way? How much more we could spend
time helping each other. Justice is as justice does.
And no, life is not like a box of chocolates- it really
does suck allot of the time. There can be some very
real shit disguised as chocolates. :) And we find it is
OUR time to shine regardless of the dark times we're
all in.

Light The Candle
And then...
we draw back.
For it seems..as
they are judging others
so will they judge us.
Our thoughts, our feelings
our openness feels naked.
Like a snail out of its' shell.
And yet, by exposing ourselves
we expose them too.
Their harshness sharpens in the light
For it is dark, so dark......
so cold without light.
What can we feel, but pity.
What can we give but the chance
to light once more the candle
and hope and wait ....and love.

woke up this morning thinking of the 'blue litmus test'...remember that?
"The blue litmus will turn red or pink when it comes into contact with an acidic solution below pH 4.5. Between 4.5 and 8.3 the paper will be purple. Above 8.3 it will stay blue. Supplied in plastic vial, about 100 paper strips/vial."
my view is that there is a 'litmus' test of sorts that we can apply to any human. This litmus test is simple. When they speak or act, are their words and actions those of love, peace and harmony and come from their heart, or are their words and actions bespeak of fear, hate and vengeance?
If the test comes up a lovely pink, then it is pure and loving, if the test comes up black, then it comes from the dark part of their soul.
If only we had a testing strip for that Pam, but then in a way we all do have one, its called critical thinking, and conscious review, of ourselves, as well as of others.

I prefer to do neither. Prayer to me is related to
dogma,so I don't do it. I don't really see people as
enemies, There are certainly many ideologies I
disagree with. I find my own way.

Good thoughts will suffice. One doesn't have to be
wrapped in dogma to be kind, generous, sending good
thoughts. But then again there is a time to speak out
for what is right, good and just. I notice good
thoughts/prayers are sent/asked for regularly on the
Personal board.

Agreed to Eve and Pamela.And yes I send good thoughts
often. I just relate the word "prayer" to religion"
but that's just me. Much as the word god can be used
in various ways.

To me I interpret the meaning of "life is like a box of
chocolates" to be you never know what your'e gonna get
when you choose what's in a box of man made sugary
sweets...too much of certain kinds of sugar is not good
for ones health and well being...now I think on it I could
interpret it lots of ways...don't take candy from
strangers, and so on.
