Remember the psychic reader Kevin Ryerson? He achieved fame back in the 1980's - 1990's due to Shirley's efforts in publicizing his abilities.
I got to meet Kevin years later at a small group gathering. He revealed to us that Ms. MacLaine and the group behind her (fellow investors, iirc) had signed him to a 5 year contract. Shirley and her group did all the scheduling for readings.

During these 5 years, this group REFUSED to let Kevin have a vacation and refused to give him ANY time off...he had to do 5 years of readings non-stop. They wouldn't let him out of his contract. They paid him what equaled a small stipend for each reading he did. Meanwhile,they were charging hundreds of dollars to those who came for readings. They doled out a mere pittance to Kevin and kept the kings' share of the profits. Shirley is "spiritual"?? My ass she is.

That's why I have NO respect for Ms. MacLaine.

Actually from my perspective she was rather
late to 'the game,' but she was, because of
her fame, a great advocate to begin to
awaken the masses to the bigger picture.
