I wonder if THE BABY WAS IN SOME KIND OF COMA PERHAPS AND SHE FELT NOT LETTING it IN THE WATER WOULd SAVE IT PERHAPS..(sorry for the Caps)….I felt this way
also when some man killed two cougars up in Corbet, had they been attacking I would not of said an thing, but
as scruffy as they looked, I think they were trying to
escape the recent wildfires in the area....he could of called in animal control and had them put down until they could transfer them closer to the coast line...they only mate once every 2 years....so there goes that one
also. Makes me disgusted.

I've been following it too...heartbreaking. There's
another story here also that this pod of 75 orcas
haven't had a successful birth in 3 years and puts
them in danger. They have about 5 years left to have
offspring, otherwise this pod won't survive. Another
orca is in danger also as it is increasingly
emaciated...so double duty on this one...energy for
the whole pod and the mom...and enough food for them
to get stronger so they can have viable offspring.
