Subject: What This Reminds Me Of...

Catching up on the thread I started announcing Louise Hay's "death", "transitioned", "passing away"... whatever you wish to label her as having accomplished..
Either way, 'she left the building', as Elvis would have said... ;)
I have to wonder about words, their meaning and their power assigned.
I recall a cousin of mine. A good hearted person by most people's assessment of her personality and character. My dear Uncle died at 97 years old. He lived a very productive, good and honorable life. His wife however was known to be "the church lady", akin to the Saturday Night Live character on NBC, years back.
My uncle was more the 'John Walton' sort. He didn't preach, he didn't lecture, he just simply lived and walked his Christianity, quietly.
As he was dying, my cousin, his daughter, a lay minister along with her husband, a lay minister, sat at his bedside and through the last weeks of his life ( he was of sound mind and fully able to communicate right up until his 'death'. ).... hounded and hounded him to say "certain words", in a "certain way".... as in the blood of Jesus Christ,... all the traditional verbiage most can recite from hearing it come forth from mouths that usually believe they've got the answers, ( one size fits all shirt-concept).
He would not say it, or shall we say recite it? He lived it however, right up until the end he wouldn't recite what she was demanding and begging he say, telling him he would go to hell, and never get into heaven if he didn't say these words, confess these words....
I am told, by my cousin that at the very last hour of his life, he finally relented and spoke exactly the 'sentence' she had told him he MUST say, using those exact words....
She breathed a sigh of relief as she recalled this event, telling me in full detail how it all went down...
I kept my tongue, did not say anything to counter her experiences, however I was imagining my sweet, gentle, very honorable life human, relenting, and having drilled into his last memories, his own daughter nearly verbal assaulting him, expecting "certain words" to insure he "got into heaven". As if...

So, the words, "death", verses "transition", verses "passing away"..... you might want to reconsider words, verses actions. Behaviors verses words...
I can only imagine "Jesus greeting my Uncle"... shaking his head,... and saying "you brave soul".... your daughter meant well.... she will understand better some day, the day she leaves her mortal body, once she comes and realizes her ego was really running the show, her fears were really running her words, ... and then she will finally understand something she can't see right now".
You, dear Uncle, were a good and faithful servant.... I imagine those would have been Jesus's greeting to my Uncle, and NOT, .... the "words", and their loaded and subjective ego driven definitions...
Louise Hay, a good and faithful servant passed away, died, transitioned, ... does she actually care right now about the words we silly humans are using? Not likely, imho.
Actions, actions... speak volumes and only volumes.

Words tend to be part of dogma. Totally agree that
action is what matters.

Really enjoyed what you shared here Lynn. And I must say, I totally
agree with you.
I especially liked what you wrote that Jesus might say, Brought a
smile to my heart.
You shared Truth in such a wonderful gentle way.
Thank you.
