This is Colette, giving a walk thru and meditation. She runs BealtaineCottage in the W of Ireland and her 3 acres of wonderful permaculture she created at her place and shares it with everyone. I posted her video on Envirowatchers too. The ancient wood is near her place and gives its history.

For over a year now I've been wanting (on a Spiritually driven level) to put in a medicinal herb garden into the Earth... the thing stopping me is we rent and ya just never know when you might have to move... I'm thinking of talking my father in-law into digging part of his yard next Spring...

When I first moved here, almost 5 years ago, I wanted to plant around the property especially in my yard. I rent too. I have been getting less mobile since two years ago. But I still want to. First I was thinking of moving to the back house and use that enclosed porch for a greenhouse but that did not work out so I am staying in my smaller place. Last night I drew a quick plan of what and where I wanted to plant around here. I got some indoor plants that would not be harmful to my cat Sunny. And a small lemon tree and blue berry bush.
So, once I actually draw it out I usually do it. Same with my indoor plans I have done. I am going to plant herbs and flowers in two places at the south end of my house. Some potted plants on the deck. And then check with the landlady about planting some trees too further away from the house.
There are two huge evergreens here, two rose bushes, and two lilac bushes already. And landlady/ Tera, has planted more trees on her south side of house just recent. We need a sort of wind break of trees/bushes on the west side embankment where strong winds come thru here. No one else has stayed here as long as I have on this property besides the landlady and her family. But I want to add to what I can do to make it beautiful and useful for the bees, birds and butterflies. And to grow some food even if I do not stay here permanent.

Good old movable pots. Some must be contained, anyway. They can be are invasive.

Herbs do great in pots. Try just a couple easy ones at first. Thats a great idea.
