A year ago Tuesday, scientists inside two giant L-shaped instruments saw a strange blip on their screens they could hardly believe.
It was the first evidence of gravitational waves — ripples in the fabric of space that careen across the universe, right through everything and everyone.
Einstein first predicted their existence 100 years ago, yet the famous scientist doubted we'd ever find any.

Just wondering here, is this liken to having two strong magnets, putting your finger between them, while they are not touching, but close enough to feel the wave created between the strong magnets?
I would assume this is a form of a gravity wave?
Most everyone by the time they are adults has done this experiment with strong magnets. You can move your finger down through/between the opposing poles, when magnets are turned so as to repel away from each other, and feel like you are literally physically slicing through a force.

Nope ... gravity is a state or condition, per se. Time travel is regulated by frequency shifts and the ability to isolate one frequency band from another and then to pinpoint a particular frequency for the desired date.

I grew up learning that gravity was a function of size
and mass......the bigger the sphere, the higher the
gravity. That is why Earth has more gravity than the
Moon.
But now they are saying that gravity is a PUSH not a
PULL and it has a relationship with the sun and the
dark matter of space.
I don't quite understand it but I certainly like
learning about new 'space stuff'....lol

Yep...me. I enjoy learning and pondering such things.
An interesting concept about the 'Push' theory is that as the Universe spirals inward to its core, the dark matter ( which is a physical substance ) thickens and the bodies that have mass ( planets, etc. ) are in that thickening mass and the pressure created between those masses is the 'push'. So as the planets and all other mass, regardless of size is squeezed together during this inward, shrinking spiral to the core, those masses resist by pushing, in a matter of speaking.
A bit like draining the sink and watching all the soap bubbles move to the center.

Similar to the same way that magnets repel each other
or the way you try to close a lid on something that is
over pressurized and it pushes back.
