Prophets shouldn't set specific dates.
Definitely McKenna and Cayce should have been clearer that the dates were open.
NTL McKenna and Cayce have repeatedly come to mind as I've watched world events unfold for the last several years and months and weeks.
Tonight when I posted the Russian reaction, on the International Board, I was again startled, as McKenna, discussed, by the rapidity of the changes and the apparent similarity in the repetition of events.
Of course, Japan always brings Cayce to mind.
I'm sure most on this Board already know what these two men said. Probably most have already formed opinions on their prophetic thoughts. Surely many have leveled various forms of criticism at them. I've read much of that criticism, too.
Still I wonder if McKenna was on to something and if Cayce did see, in fact, some version of the future, our now.

I definitely think they both were given glimpses of what's
to come, but that they both immediately fell into the trap
of diving into interpretation through over-
intellectualizing what they were given...

Edgar Cayce predicted that dramatic physical changes would affect the Earth in the years 1958-1998 and would begin with the eruption of Mt. Etna.
The Great Lakes would empty into the Gulf of Mexico linked with a time when ancient repositories would be discovered as people reached the appropriate level of consciousness. The three repositories mentioned are Egypt, the Bimini area, and the Yucatan.
After activities by Mt. Vesuvius, Mt. Pelee, the southern coast of California, the areas between Great Salt Lake and the southern portions of Nevada, we may expect, within the three months following, inundation by earthquakes, more in the Southern than the Northern Hemisphere. Portions of the New York, or New York City itself, will disappear as well as the southern portions of Carolina, Georgia.
Land will appear in the Atlantic and Pacific. Rise of Atlantis. And what is the coast line now of many a land will be the bed of the ocean. Even many battle fields of the present will be oceans, seas,the bays, the lands over which 'The New World Order' will carry on their trade as one with another.
The waters of the lakes will empty into the Gulf. It would be well if the waterway were prepared, but not for that purpose for which it is at present being considered. Then the area where I am now located (Virginia Beach) will be among the safety lands, as will be portions of what is now Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, and much of the southern portion of Canada and the eastern portion of Canada, while the western land -- much of that is to be disturbed as, of course much in other lands.
The greater portion of Japan must go into the sea.
The upper portion of Europe will be changed as in the twinkling of an eye.
When there is the first breaking up of some conditions in the South Sea and those as apparent in the sinking or rising of that that's almost opposite same, or in the Mediterranean, and the Etna area, then we many know it has begun.
There will be the upheavals in the Arctic and in the Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanoes in the torrid areas, and there will be the shifting then of the poles - where there has been those of a frigid or the semi-tropical will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow.
Strifes will arise through the period. Watch for them near the Davis Strait [between Greenland and Canada] in the attempts there for the keeping of the life line to land open. Watch for them in Libya and in Egypt, in Ankara and in Syria, through the straits about those areas above Australia, in the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf.

Just a slight correction here... and he never gave readings when he was awake.. he always was in a sleeping/trance and did not know what he was saying until he woke up and his transcriber Gladys read it back or they in attendance read her notes.
There was a strict protocol of doing this which began early on in his life. I know nothing of McKenna- never studied him to my recall but will look up his name.
Here is the Reading with that information
From Reading #3976-15 (Given on January 19, 1934)
"As to the changes physical again: The earth will be broken up in the western portion of America. The greater portion of Japan must go into the sea. The upper portion of Europe will be changed as in the twinkling of an eye. Land will appear off the east coast of America. There will be the upheavals in the Arctic and in the Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanoes in the Torrid areas, and there will be shifting then of the poles - so that where there has been those of a frigid or the semi-tropical will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow. And these will begin in those periods in '58 to '98, when these will be proclaimed as the periods when His light will be seen again in the clouds.
As to times, as to seasons, as to places, ALONE is it given to those who have named the name - and who bear the mark of those of His calling and His election in their bodies. To them it shall be given."

So this is answering those who may say his "dates or timelines are off" - above he said WILL BEGIN.
And also he did not know what he was saying or said until the reading with over with and he awoke and he read what Gladys Davies had transcribed.
In another Reading he gave a time for 2000- 2001 and immediately everyone quotes it out of context.. without realizing what he actually said.
Heres the reading:(note very carefully how it is worded:(what great change OR beginning of what change)
Beginning of and also adds an OR, a new cycle begins.
"Question: What great change or the beginning of what change, if any, is to take place in the earth in the year 2,000 to 2,001 A.D.?
Answer: When there is a shifting of the poles; or a new cycle begins."(826-8 given August 11, 1936)

I think I have read a few times that there will be 4
major volcanic eruptions...Mt Vesuvius, Pinautubo,
(Yellowstone - maybe) and a fourth one. Then, the New
Madrid fault moves and widens the Mississippi River;
splitting the country in two.
And after that is when the Chinese and Russians take
advantage of the situation and assault us.
