I came upon this. When artistry is at the pinnacle of healing hearts. May this help those who need this,... Everyone is worthy, some just don't get that message early on. The irony is that Simon Cowell, ( irritating on a good day when he was judge on American Idol, saw something in that young frumpy girl, something that many might not have been able to detect easily). Now, she's overweight, and so what? What she gives goes beyond image. It goes to the heart of each person who has a heart, and some hearts are hurting, and she heals through her music. Watch this. Even if you were blessed growing up with a wonderful father..

OMGosh. Thank you Lynn for sharing this here for others who need healing from childhood trauma....I'm crying! There must be at least 50 shades of Abandonment that scar you... Wow she is amazing. as it's so difficult to put words to what you feel but she did and quite beautifully. And no Lynn she is NOT FAT... she's in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy! :) Absolutely the most emotional song and breakdown I've ever seen and it's so good for the Soul. Thanks again, Jody

I'm glad you found healing in her beautiful and soulful song. It tells the truth of her life, and how she has found healing.
And, yes, I realized she was not "fat". I knew she was pregnant, and my point was that society rates woman by size, still, and most often. Adel has helped to break that mold, so have others over the long haul of time. I just admire Kelly Clarkston for her raw courage and just watching Keith Urban sob, not manufactured but deeply moved by her gift of telling her truth and doing it with courage, unabashed for her walk through the fires. It was one of those rare moments in television, unplanned, and it blows everything out of the water that can be scripted. This was one of those raw moments of truth,... when artistry of a human has the potential to move mountains.
