Sulphur and the smell of is linked to hell. Some people smell it in combination with demon attacks.

I have smelled it before, in the long ago past

URL: What gases are emitted by active volcanoes?

Ninety-nine percent of the gas molecules emitted during a volcanic eruption are
water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), and sulfur dioxide (SO2).

I've lived with the smell on and off for 50 years.. no woowoo.. organic chemistry..

URL: Are Volcanoes or Humans Harder on the Atmosphere?

And still.. organic verses man made is an interesting comparison..

From the link above..

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world’s volcanoes,
both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon
dioxide (CO2) annually, while our automotive and industrial activities cause
some 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions every year worldwide.

So, are you saying man is the devil?

The question of topic for CO2 is, if it's a gift from God.

Then there is the question, why are we on the Skywatchers board anyways?

I placed my post here because the author of video
included the Sulfur content in his video- showing a SKY
map. I started the thread. Go to top of thread. Video
author cover topics of earthquakes, solar, and sulfur
content. Anyone watched this video I posted or just
making random comments?

Hi inthestars,

Coincidently, here is a reply post I sent to Chuckles back in Dec. Towards
the end we were talking about Lassen Peak erupting.

The smell of sulphur is present at all the geothermal features in Lassen
Park. And there is a lot more than the areas I pointed out.

The photo on top of that post is at the "Sulphur Works", which is the main
vent in the center of the ancient Mt. Tehama in NorCal.

The two videos are short clips of hikes into a couple of these sites, named
in terms of Devil and Hell.

See Link above.

From the earth, as crustal emissions, to a great
degree, along with methane and CO2.

Why is methane always linked to agriculture? It's a
very simple substance, CH4. Any carbon bearing rock
could release it under appropriate conditions,
sedimentary, metamorphic or even igneous (carbonate,
etc.) are huge potential sources. Just add sulphur....
