Hi all,

"GOES services began experiencing an outage at
approximately 2120 UTC on 24 Jun. While SWPC forecasters
maintain the capability to issue flare, proton and
electron warnings and alerts, observational data is not
reliable/updating at this time. An estimated time to
restoration is unknown."

So far, Spaceweather and Solarham haven't reported this
news. Could it be embargoed?

Thank you. I was coming to share that as I just got back online and before I turned in last night it was
seemingly still up but it was behind some hours in updates. I don't remember it being out for as long as
this and there is the X flare sunspot coming round the bend for the third time and I don't recall one
making it around three times before in the years I have watched since 2004. I may have forgotten but it's
rare for a sunspot to make three earth facing return trips and it does not seem to have lost any X flare
power so far. hmm...dreams n'stuff. ~Eve

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THAT POTENT OLD SUNSPOT IS BACK: Old sunspot AR3664, which caused the May 10th superstorm, has
returned. This is its 3rd trip across the solar disk. Per tradition, it has been re-numbered 3 times:
Originally AR3664, then AR3697, now AR3723. X-flares are possible as it once again turns to face Earth.

P.S. I forgot to share that on spaceweather.com it's on
the sidebar in red concerning the incoming data issue:

NOTICE: a data outage from the GOES satellite has
temporarily paused updating of solar flares.

Thanks Eve.

It is back up now, but there is a memory hole.
