Looked significant to me going by the image...I suppose some were expecting more, will
watch to see what all comes out regarding the event.

THE BETELGEUSE OCCULTATION: Was the Betelgeuse occultation a dud? "The occultation was
faster and less intense than expected," reports Paco Bellido from Cordoba, Spain, a city on
the centerline of occultation path. In his photos, the red giant barely changes. Betelgeuse
was supposed to dim at least 3 magnitudes when asteroid Leona passed in front of it.
However, the rotating asteroid has an iregular shape, and it might not have covered as much
of the star as expected. Stay tuned for reports from other observing sites.

"The Betelgeuse Occultation" sounds like a Robert Ludlum thriller novel.
