Subject: Jack Coles update on Ferndale Quake

On Nov. 5 at 7:30 a.m. Jack received a main signal for
a mag 8 in the area where the 7.3 occurred today
offshore of Ferndale at the Triple Junction location.

While today's quake may have satisfied this forecast,
because the signal was clearly for an 8, and because he
has since received numerous other signals for that
area, he feels there may be a larger quake looming in
the same general area, or possibly a tad north but
still offshore.

Additionally, he wanted to remind everyone that in 1992
there was a mag 7 quake near Ferndale/Petrolia that was
followed two months later by the Landers quake which
moved 44 feet of earth, a couple months later so this
is a head's up for the potential of a pattern whereby
large quakes near Triple Junction may precede large
quakes in Southern California. Jack forecasted the
Landers quake and considers it one of his most accurate
forecasts to date.
