RESEARCH EFFORTS - Posted by EQF on February 15, 2024

Hi Mr. Bopp and all,

For quite a long time I have been stating that I planned to begin contacting individual researchers, nongovernmental organizations such as the United Nations, and world governments such as the U.S. government regarding the subject of Earthquake Forecasting.

Those effort got formally underway at the end of last week. A variety of approaches are being used.

Posts to this forum would probably represent the first approach. That approach got started many years ago.

The second approach that got underway last weekend involving a group of humanitarian projects workers has not been successful so far. I am going to allow a few more days before declaring the effort to be unsuccessful.

A third approach got underway earlier today. I am waiting for results. That might take a few days if it does turn out to be successful.

The latest approach HAS been TOTALLY successful so far. That approach will get into its next phase likely some time in the next few days.

So, international types of Earthquake Forecasting efforts are now formally underway

Some progress reports regarding these efforts will likely be posted to this forum.

Regards to all,

EQF

Steps 2 and 3 discussed in the previous post have so far been unsuccessful.

The latest MAJOR step has now been successfully completed.

What I am presently attempting to do is get an Earthquake Forecasting computer program created that will run a lot faster than my present perl and gnuplot language programs.

Regards to all,

The next major step in this present effort has now been completed.

Based on past experiences, I believe that it should probably work. It will likely take some time.

If it doesn't work, then there are at least two more possible steps that can be taken. One involves telling international news service personnel about this effort.

It truly amazes me that people living on the U.S. West Coast including scientists and news service personnel who live there appear to have absolutely NO interest in learni9ng how to forecast destructive earthquakes.

This has something to do with how certain groups of scientists think and work. News service personnel then listen to them and do absolutely nothing.

The scientists go into states of paralysis when it comes to doing anything that might be controversial and result in their being criticized by other scientists in their field and/or their employers.

The scientists appear to be much more afraid of that type of criticism than they are afraid of being destroyed along with everyone they know, by an unexpected, destructive earthquake.

I have found it to be an EXTREMELY frustrating experience to try to interact with those scientists and get them moving.

The SINGLE group of scientists who impress me with their tenacity and sense of direction are the CLIMATE CHANGE scientists.

They have persisted over the years and decades in spite of MASSIVE efforts by government and fossil fuel industry personnel aimed at getting them to back down regarding their Global Warming data, theories, and warnings.

These are personal opinions.

Regards to all,

EQF
