Hi Mr. Bopp,
In this posting, among other things I am going to provide you with a lecture regarding Disaster Management, or more correctly, Disaster Mitigation.
The difference is that Disaster Management generally means that you try to fix things after a disaster has occurred. Disaster Mitigation includes that, but also includes looking into the future and attempting to keep disasters from occurring in the first place.
But first,
OBSESSION
If you or anyone else on this board has any friends who are psychologists I recommend that you have them read this post. See if they agree with me.
There is one individual who I will say is a “he” for the purposes of this post.
Can you see any of his recent posts that aren’t focused on criticizing MY posts?
There don’t appear to me to be too many. And that problem goes back years in time.
I am not a psychology professional. But, I am guessing that this is what the psychologists refer to as an “Obsession.”
This is simply a discussion forum. I personally find it to be helpful. Why would someone focus on trying to criticize someone else’s posts? If you don’t like the messages that someone is posting, just ignore them.
In contrast, in this post I am simply responding to posts that are criticizing mine.
CONTROL
That appears to be what this other person keeps insisting. He is trying to keep me from “controlling” this forum.
I don’t have any control over it.
On the other hand,
If I remember correctly, when that person got control of the Earthwaves board, one of the first things that he did was start kicking people off the forum. THAT is what CONTROL is all about.
FINALLY ON THIS SUBJECT
Where is all of this coming from?
My best guess it that this person somehow feels that he has the backing of a certain group of scientists, that he is somehow defending them, and that they like him for that.
Wrong!!!
Generally, scientists will say that they have spent a lot of time, energy, and money getting their degree or degrees in science. If some other scientist expresses an opinion that they do not agree with regarding Earthquake Forecasting or anything else, then as scientists, they can argue with that opinion.
They DO NOT want anyone, especially someone who is not a science professional, censoring information and telling them what they are allowed to hear and what they aren’t allowed to hear.
So much for that.
REGARDING MY SCIENCE AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT WORK
I generally work on projects that are designed to save lives, improve human health, and strengthen the economies of world governments.
I have been extremely successful over the years with quite a few of my projects.
I made repeated, extraordinary efforts over the years to keep the wars we are seeing in Ukraine and the Middle East from occurring. One of those absolutely extraordinary efforts was likely at least partly successful. I believe it likely delayed the war in Ukraine from occurring. But in the end the war occurred anyway. So, the effort was not a complete success.
Earthquake Forecasting is just one of those projects where lives can be saved.
Affordable energy is another project where I have had quite a bit of success.
Our chronic, global shortage of adequate amounts of affordable energy is one of the most serious problems affecting the lives of people around the world.
To provide some evidence regarding my work with affordable energy, just visit my Web site and read the report titled: “Energy Islands.”
These proposed energy collection systems are in one form basically gigantic barges that can move around in the ocean, collect wind, wave, and solar energy, and then transfer their stored energy to a shore facility such as a country’s electric energy grid.
They could make the energy available as hydrogen gas obtained by splitting water molecules and releasing the oxygen into the atmosphere.
My report briefly discusses the potentially very valuable contribution that the chemical barium sulfate can make to energy saving.
FIVE of my other projects each involve keep us all from getting turned into specks of radioactive dust floating in the atmosphere.
Another project involves reducing gun violence. I have had at least a small amount of success with that project.
The following is another project that you have likely never seen discussed before anywhere. I have been working on it for years.
This involves getting a nonprofit foundation to create lists of problems that threaten human lives.
The lists would be displayed on a Web site run by the nonprofit. The nonprofit would also make resources available such as grants, to people who wanted to help solve those problems.
For example,
# 1 Problem Threatening Human Lives
A giant rock would slam into the Earth and send us all the way of the dinosaurs.
World scientists are making a lot of progress with dealing with that problem.
The latest that I have seen involves a special AI program that can identify the rocks by looking at their gravity effects on other objects in outer space.
World scientists need to do a lot more with this effort. As far as I am aware, they still cannot identify many relatively small objects, say the size of a soccer ball, that can cause havoc for some city when they hit the Earth’s atmosphere.
Certain types of outer space lasers might be part of the answer to that problem. When the laser light hit the object, telescopes on the ground or in space would see the reflection etc. and alert people.
# 2 Problem Threatening Us All
Some type of germ, perhaps a virus, a bacterium, or a fungus would spread, cause a pandemic, and claim countless lives round the world.
Covid-19 did exactly that. It is still impossible for me to believe that the international medical community did such a poor job with quickly recognizing the problem and getting efforts organized to deal with it.
# 3 Problem Threatening Us All
Anything to do with the nuclear device proliferation problem.
As I stated, I am working on 5 different possible solutions for that problem. One of my projects from long ago was apparently highly successful.
Earthquake Forecasting is way, way down the list. Compared with those first 3 problems and many others, earthquakes rarely claim as many lives.
A LECTURE REGARDING DISASTER MITIGATION
If you are a scientist, a medical professional, or a politician, then when you are dealing with something that can cause human fatalities, you ABSOLUTELY NEED to be very careful when something is proposed that might help reduce the threat. You can’t just dismiss what is being proposed because you don’t like the sound of it or simply because at first look, it doesn’t appear to make much sense.
Who would have thought that the Smallpox vaccine would work. Yet all these years later, Smallpox has apparently been successfully globally eliminated. There are no new cases anywhere on the planet.
We almost got totally rid of Polio. Unfortunately years ago, a certain type of politics apparently kept that from happening. People are still working on getting rid of it.
How could a MOLD (like Penicillin) possibly save lives?
EARTHQUAKE FORECASTING
Things are exactly the same with this science.
Earthquakes threaten lives. Don’t dismiss some earthquake forecasting method because you don’t like the sound of it.
If someone says that he or she has a pet turtle that will point its head in the direction of an approaching earthquake and then wag its tail, don’t tell him or her that he and his pet turtle are a danger to society.
Instead, tell him or her to make a video of the turtle’s behavior before an earthquake and then send you the video. If the video looks real, investigate further.
CAN ANIMALS PREDICT EARTHQUAKES?
I knew one of the original researchers in this area. He died a number of years ago.
It is one of the dumbest questions in all of science. And many of the “scientists” who say that they are doing this research don’t appear to me to have a clue regarding what is going on in the world.
THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION
It depends on the specific earthquake, the type of animal, and the individual animal.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Don’t look at a large group of horses in California and see if they can respond to an approaching earthquake. You are wasting your time. Powerful earthquakes in California are relatively rare.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE
Select a large group of animals such as 100 pet dogs and take them to some location such as Japan where there are frequent earthquakes.
Watch each of them to see if it will respond to an approaching earthquake. Considering all of the earthquakes that occur in the Japan area, you shouldn’t have to wait too long.
Perhaps 2 dogs will respond to one approaching earthquake and a different 3 will respond to another approaching earthquake.
Keep the ones that respond and send the rest home.
Keep doing that for more and more groups of dogs and also groups of cats, fish, horses, and on and on.
Perhaps after as little as a year you might have a collection of 500 different animals of various types that can respond to this or that type of approaching earthquakes.
You can’t expect every animal in the group to respond to every approaching earthquake. People who think that this should be the case don’t know anything about physics or biology.
Different approaching earthquakes generate different earthquake precursors or even no detectable precursors at all.
Some of the animals might be sensitive to various types of sound waves. Other might be sensitive to electromagnetic energy waves.. Some fish might be sensitive to certain chemicals in the water.
These are personal opinions.

I recommend that no one believe anything that this person says, or at least take it with a large grain of salt.
I believe that I remember clearly that once he took it over, he (or she) said that I no longer had access to the Earthwaves forum and even bragged about that, even stating that he or she was sorry he or she didn't force me off it even earlier.
Or perhaps it was one of those ghost zombies who was saying that he was glad to rid the Earthwaves form of me. Those ghost zombies are always causing problems.
Go back a ways and look at one of his or her posts that I believe clearly stated that:
"He (or she) would or at least knew how to deal with me."
You don't even have to go back more than a week or two to see that type of behavior.
I believe that science professionals know better than to say anything like that, especially in public on the Internet.
Why haven't I done anything about this over the years?
I feel that people should be allowed to state what they want on the Internet, with certain reasonable limitations.
The following is some real irony with all of this.
I need to have some help with creating a new language version of my Earthquake Forecasting computer program. I don't have time to create it myself.
This individual apparently does computer programming and might have had an important role in that effort.
Forget that!
No chance of that at all with all of that public criticism constantly taking place.
None of this probably matters. The real problem and the reason that governments cannot predict earthquakes is because people in the international scientific community who SHOULD be doing this work are so terrified at the thought of stating that perhaps they CAN be predicted, and then getting yelled at by their colleagues, that they have basically gone into a state of paralysis.
If and when I finally have time to contact U.S. government officials about earthquake forecasting I expect that what U.S. scientists will be saying about whether or not earthquakes can be predicted will be dramatically different than what they almost all presently appear to be saying.
These are personal opinions.
