Subject: Forecast Web Page Update - Dec. 31, 2023 |
|
|
Posted by EQF on December 31, 2023
My Earthquake Forecasting Data.html Web page has just been updated.
Go to any major search engine and enter:
earthquake research Data.html index.html
My Web site address should be at or near the top of the list. Then go to the Data.html Web page.
It is possible that recent EM Signals were pointing to the two Indonesia earthquakes that occurred around 139 E. I am assuming that their different depths indicate that they were separate earthquakes that occurred just seconds apart in time.
2023/12/30 17:16:24 2.96S 139.35E 39 6.3 "147 km WSW of Abepura, Indonesia"
2023/12/30 17:16:23 3.21S 139.29E 10 6.5 "163 km WSW of Abepura, Indonesia"
All of the charts below will automatically update when new forecast charts are posted on my Web site. They are stored on my own Internet Server, not the Boppin Web site. So, the Boppin Web site doesn't have to do any work to display them.
The line peaks on the file below represent averages of large numbers of EM Signals.
Line peak shapes suggest some possible seismic activity around 144 E. The yellow - orange lines point to fault zones at four different longitudes. Each one should be watched for a few weeks.
The line peaks below represent recent fairly powerful earthquakes and recent high intensity EM Signals.
The following charts are the latest ones related to ground tilt monitors in Europe - Asia areas. I am attempting to get more information regarding exactly what the different charts are pointing to.
Happy New Year to all,
EQF

Your charts as posted on Dec 31st show no indication along 137°E.
Because these charts are cross linked onto your webpage and you update them, it's possible in the future that loading the page will show a different chart. Hence, I have saved a copy just in case, for the record.

Subject: Deadly Japan Earthquake - Jan. 1, 2024 |

Posted by EQF on January 1, 2024
It will take a few more hours or possibly a day to determine how many of and which of the high intensity EM Signals that I work with were pointing to the deadly earthquake that just occurred in Japan.
Based on past experiences and the relatively high magnitude and shallow depth of the earthquake I am sure that some of the signals were good matches for the earthquake.
Some of those strain charts displayed on my recent post were probably also pointing to the earthquake's approach. I am contacting the researchers who create those charts to see what they think about this.
These are personal opinions.
Regards to all,

Subject: Important Information Regarding The Earthquake - Jan. 2, 2024 |

It will be a few more hours or a day or so before my computer programs are done with crunching numbers associated with the recent deadly Japan earthquake.
Perl language programs like mine can be as slow as programs written with the original versions of BASIC.
2024/01/01 07:10:09 37.50N 137.24E 10 7.5 "42 km NE of Anamizu, Japan"
The following is very likely some critically important information regarding that deadly Japan earthquake.
The fact that I appear to be perhaps the only person who understands the importance of this information right now is a good indicator of what a miserable job the international scientific community is doing with the science of earthquake forecasting. This information should have been in the very first international news reports related to the earthquake.
Some 4 minutes before that 7+ magnitude earthquake occurred, the following earthquake occurred at that very same location and reported depth.
2024/01/01 07:06:05 37.51N 137.24E 10 5.5 "42 km NE of Anamizu, Japan"
What people will eventually be seeing in news reports is the group of scientists who SHOULD actually be doing this type of work finally telling everyone that the 7+ magnitude quake probably occurred because that 5+ magnitude earthquake had just occurred at the same location and depth.
Either dramatic changes in the strain profile in that fault zone or perhaps the shock wave from the first earthquake led to the second one being triggered at the time that it was triggered.
Watch the news reports to see when the international scientists finally start discussing this, if ever. But, don't hold your breath until they do.
It should be interesting to see what my computer programs have to say about those earthquakes.
No one else on the planet can generate the types of data my computer programs can generate even though my computer program code were formally copyrighted here in the U.S. and available for free use by anyone for years.
That is another indicator of just how miserable work in this area of science is. The people who are BEING PAID to do this type of work don't appear to me to have a clue or even any interest in determining what is going on, just as long as their paychecks keep arriving every week or two.
This is a sad start for the year 2024.
With regard to this vital area of science, nothing has changed or improved from 2023, 2022, ...
Another sad fact is that that one AI program should be getting plenty of international attention. But that doesn't seem to be the case so far.
These are personal opinions.

"...I appear to be perhaps the only person who understands the importance of this..."
The height of grandiosity....
"Watch the news reports to see when the international scientists finally start discussing this, if ever. But, don't hold your breath until they do."
Too late.
At least 31 aftershocks recorded since earthquake struck, USGS says
"According to [USGS seismologist Jessica] Turner, a magnitude 5.5 foreshock took place 4 minutes before the magnitude 7.5 earthquake occurred."

The chart at the bottom of this post shows some of my preliminary data regarding that recent deadly Japan earthquake and my latest EM Signals.
My interpretation of the data on the chart is that some of my recent high intensity EM Signals WERE likely associated with the approach of that earthquake. They got pretty close. But as I have repeatedly said, these data are largely for governments and other earthquake researchers. I don't have time to fully decode them and watch for everyone's earthquakes.
It should be remembered that these EM Signals are being detected at a single location here in the United States. Yet the signals are pointing to the approach of many of our significant earthquakes occurring even on the opposite side of the Earth.
My Earthquake Forecasting computer program then decodes the earthquake and EM Signal information and makes sense of it.
Trust me. That computer program creation represents a truly astonishing accomplishment in science.
These are personal opinions.

Update Posted by EQF on January 2, 2024
I have spent enough time on that Japan earthquake for one 24 hour period of time. I will get back to working on it later today or tomorrow.
I am also planning to contact Japan government officials and scientists and warn them that my Earthquake Forecasting method likely represents the ONLY hope that they have for receiving a timely warning that a destructive aftershock could be on the way.
Likely, there COULD be at least one significant aftershock, sooner or later.
Also,
As I said, people should read news reports they can access and see if they can spot the first report that says that:
"Scientists have determined that an earthquake that occurred 4 minutes earlier than the main earthquake was actually an important earthquake precursor and possibly responsible for the main earthquake occurring when it did."
See how long it takes for any of them to state that in the news.
I will propose that the first person to spot one of those reports should have bragging rights for a few days.
These are personal opinions.
