The following are personal opinions.
It appears that a powerful and potentially destructive earthquake is getting ready to occur.
PRECURSOR SIGNAL INTENSITY
A single EM 9 high intensity EM Signal was detected early on May 23, 2023.
EM 9 signals are the highest intensity EM Signals that I can work with. They are detected only a few times a year.
EM 8 signals are the second highest intensity signals that I can work with. They might be detected between one and two dozen times a year.
MAGNITUDE
That EM 9 signal detected earlier today is a good indicator that a powerful and likely fairly shallow earthquake is getting ready to occur. If it occurs near a populated area there is likely to be a fair amount of destruction.
One of the main problems with generating MAGNITUDE estimates with at least some earthquake forecasting programs including mine is the fact that the amount of destruction does not depend so much on magnitude as on location.
A very high magnitude earthquake such as an 8.0 quake that occurs deep within the Earth will likely not be very destructive. The energy is spread out over a large area.
A relatively low magnitude earthquake such as a 4.5 that occurs near the surface and directly under a city could easily cause a lot of damage.
For a proposed magnitude I can only say that this expected earthquake will likely be powerful enough that it could cause a lot of damage.
LOCATION
My computer programs indicate that that EM 9 signal IS NOT a good match with any recent destructive earthquakes. I have been especially concerned during the past few months about possible destructive Turkey area aftershocks.
That EM 9 signal does not match any of those recent destructive Turkey earthquakes.
That does not mean that a Turkey area aftershock is not possible. It only indicates that the signal is not clearly indicating that there could be one in that area.
Additional tests are being run to see where that signal might be pointing. Locations along the U.S. West Coast are possible.
TIME WINDOW
Part of the reason that the EM 9 signal was generated at this time is the fact that the sun and the moon were fairly close to one another in the sky just a few days ago regarding both latitude and longitude. That means that tidal forces, including the Tide Generating Force (TGF) were and are still closest to their highest values.
The number that my computer program generated for the TGF is 3.032.
Roughly 0.95 would be for times when the sun and moon are on opposite sides from the Earth. That is also a likely time for an earthquake to occur or a strong EM Signal to be generated.
When two or more high intensity EM signals are detected within a few hours of one another it usually means that the expected earthquake will occur within a week. When only one signal is generated as was the case with the one generated today I cannot determine when there will be a powerful earthquake. It might not occur for another month.
When this expected earthquake is getting close, it will likely generate more high intensity EM Signals.
Exceptions to that are ones occurring in Central and South America. They often generate only a few high intensity EM Signals before they occur
That is not the case with Chile area earthquakes. For some reason, they generate numerous high intensity EM Signals and are some of the easiest to predict.
WHAT TO DO
It would be appreciated if anyone who has been detecting strong earthquake precursor signals during the past few days would say something about that. Then there might be some confirmation data.
I myself will also be watching the following Web site to see if any activity appears to be approaching. Those ground tilt measurement signals collected in the Europe Asia area are often in good agreement with my U.S. area electromagnetic signals.

At the moment I havent yet seen anything suspicious looking with those charts. But they are usually a few days or so behind my own EM Signal data.

So far, no new high intensity EM Signals have been detected since May 23, 2023. In fact, things have been very quiet for quite a while. No medium or low intensity signals either.
These total lulls in EM Signal activity happen several times a year. In contrast, there are times when EM Signals are being detected several times a week.
I am not yet sure what is responsible for those periods of frequent and no EM Signal activity.
FORECASTING PROGRAM UPDATE
A good part of the work is now done regarding creating .png type charts for the various charts that can be observed on the following forecasting Web site:

The plan is that when that effort is done, those new .png charts will be added to my own forecasting Web site so that my data and the mereni2 data can be easily compared.
This is not easy or fast work. The charts on that mereni2 Web site are not true picture charts that could be easily downloaded.
A "Screen Capture" has to be done after a given chart displays. Then those data are pasted to a .png drawing program. Then that .png chart has to be cropped, resized, and given a name before it can be saved and used.
Presently, there are seven useful "charts" at that site. The other charts are not working for one reason or another. All of this copying and cropping etc. has to be done automatically for each of the charts, one after another, with just the right timing.
Fortunately, my ancient Perl language program is versatile enough to be able to do all that without any manual efforts. Plans are to some day shift to using Python to do those types of things.
