Letter is dated Jan 18. I only just received it:
"The water pressure is so high [Nor Cal] we may see some
sand-blows. That happens if a quake is so bad water comes
out like a fountain and leaves sand mounds in spots. I
received a signal from [Soledad] to San Francisco. It is
not a confirmed "main signal" yet, but it could happen
with very little time. The forecast from months ago was
for a mag 7 and after that an 8.1.
Please be ready!

thanks mimici! i got a letter from jack on the 12th...he said "I was hoping that its over for Northern California, but now I'm not sure. There's an 8.1 plus still out there for the south...be ready...stay safe"

By south does he mean south end of north or southern ca?

i was wondering that too...i'm thinking the southern end of northern cali...like the bay area...
