Subject: Important note for all earthquake forecasters - Dec. 23, 2022

Posted by EQF on December 23, 2022

People often don't go along with me on this. But I keep repeating it because the information is quite important.

When the latest is said and done regarding that recent CA quake and its aftershocks, it is important that everyone who is presently forecasting earthquakes join in a discussion regarding how close they got to predicting it.

Data do not need to include ALL of WHEN, WHERE, and WHAT MAGNITUDE. Any one of those things along the lines of accurate forecast information is valuable information.

Weather forecasts are not usually based on any one type of data. They are composites of many different types of data.

Earthquake forecasts should be the same as my own forecasting Web site says repeatedly.

Unfortunately, many earthquake forecasters around the world are largely interested in promoting their own forecasting methods. They often fight like cats and dogs with other forecasters. That can be quite destructive to this science.

My own data for the past week or so are still going through my computer programs. Additionally, a fairly strong EM signal was detected earlier today, Friday.

Hopefully, my computers will be finished with data processing in a few more hours. Some of my charts can take more than a half hour each to generate using a fairly powerful computer. It can work on only one chart at a time. A full batch involves 10 separate charts.

These are personal opinions.

Happy holidays to all. Hope that not too many were strongly affected by that CA quake.

Posted by EQF on December 23, 2022

To start,

My preliminary analyses of that recent deadly CA quake (2 reported fatalities) indicate that it was likely generating EM Signals for as much as a year or more.

On my 1 to 9 scale for EM Signal intensity, 9 is the highest intensity signal I can work with. Only 2 or 3 are detected in a given year. Level 5 signals are detected on an average of perhaps once or twice a week.

On August 8, 2022 a level 9 signal was detected. My computer programs indicate that it was a good match with the recent CA quake.

Second,

A fairly high intensity EM Signal detected earlier today was also a reasonably good match with those recent CA quakes.

There might be a detectable aftershock on the way.

I considered sending a formal warning note to CA government officials but probably won't unless additional strong EM Signals are detected.

If there is an aftershock approaching it won't be the "Big One" that people talk about endlessly. An approaching earthquake like that would probably send my EM Signals system into chaos.

No significant "Big Ones" likely for any time soon along the West Coast in my opinion.

The recent CA quake was bad enough.

These are personal opinions.

Some Good News

Probabilities now indicate to me that there likely won't be another earthquake. I was concerned that another one might be getting ready to occur based on yesterday's strong EM Signal. Additionally, no new signals have been detected today.

Additional analyses presently indicate to me that there is a high probability that the strong EM Signal detected yesterday, December 23, 2022 was associated with the following earthquake:

2022/12/22 11:49:55 40.36N 124.33W 29 3.8 "6km NW of Petrolia, CA"

This is something I have seen fairly often in the past.

A strong EM Signal will at times match an earthquake that has occurred some time in the past 48 hours.

However, this is the first time that I can recall that such a low magnitude earthquake (3.8) caused this to happen. The fact that it did is valuable information for my forecasting program.

My forecast Web site charts have still not been finished. Hopefully they will be done by tomorrow.

These are personal opinions and theories.

Happy holidays to all.

Hi Pamela,

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that anyone posting notes here was relying on Ear Tones.

My estimation is that perhaps 1 person in 1000 can hear them. They might be the most common form of Human Earthquake Sensitivity.

Other people in the scientific and medical communities just explain them away as some type of atmospheric disturbance rather than a true earthquake precursor. Those same people also claim that animals are not sensitive to approaching earthquakes. Some are. Some are not.

It is somewhat unfortunate that my earthquake forecasting computer program is not easy for people to use. It can convert Ear Tone detection times to actual locations.

They do not appear to be actual sounds but more likely represent some type of electromagnetic energy field interaction with the human nervous system that converts them into a fake sound. They can be heard in certain scientific laboratory settings where they are likely related to quartz crystal vibrations.

Some people hear fairly high frequency Ear Tones, perhaps around 7000 cycles per second. Others hear very low frequency Ear Tones down in the 1 to 30 cycle per second range. They say that they sound like fog horns.

Two people who can hear Ear Tones can be standing next to one another. One person will hear a tone while the other will not. At another time the reverse occurs.

They can apparently affect different people differently.

These are personal opinions.

Regards to all,

EQF

Hi again Pamela,

I cannot recall hearing anyone state in the past that they could identify a location for an earthquake based on an Ear Tone.

People who are Earthquake Sensitive often identify possible locations for an expected earthquake by using other phenomena such as a strong sensation in an arm or a leg etc. The exact arm or leg location indicates to them the place where the earthquake might occur.

That information regarding Ear Tones could be valuable.

In any large city there are likely quite a few people who can hear Ear Tones. If they could be instructed on how to identify likely earthquake locations based on their Ear Tone signals then the Ear Tones might be regarded as valuable, inexpensive, global earthquake precursors.

These are personal opinions.

Hi again. I get both tones and body symps. I mainly
feel the body symps way in advnce and then if I am
awake may hear the tones which puts the quake near to
come in within maybe 3 to 15 days, depending. I learned
all of this thru trial and error testing, posting them
here or on my website which I don't keep up with much,
since around late 2002 to the very present for the
tones as well as the body symps. One particular person
named Petra Challis who has passed on some several
years ago began doing this and making quite a name for
herself and some others whom can't recall their names.
Petra has a site still up she created with her friend ,
a man named, Don, in Hollister, aka Don in Creepytown.
I believ he was a geologist. I will have to look around
in my notes/files to see if I can find their site
again. I know I posted it on Groans here, but it
doesn't have a search function. She mentioned body
symps but mostly relied on her ear tones along with
some others. Don in Hollister has since passed on too.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate this special day.

Hi again Pamela,

HUMAN EARTHQUAKE SENSITIVITY

If you are experiencing other Earthquake Sensitivity symptoms besides hearing Ear Tones then you would probably be in the "standard" group of Earthquake Sensitives.

There is more information on this in another note that I just posted today.
